Tsubasa Subaru woes

-_-;; Well, ok, so at least I wasn't that far off. So yeah...I need some advice.

- Should I take off the red lining I put on the cape? And if so, should I just leave it as is or make a black lining?
- Ok, I can easily paint the clasps on the cape gold, no problem. Not so sure if the chain will take to the paint though. ^^;
- So the thingies around the buttons are white...ha. *cries* I made them red and I already messed up once and put them on the wrong side and had to redo them. I have to redo them again?! ;_; I guess there's not much I can do...unless anyone thinks I should keep it all red.
- And well, at least I didn't put the ones on the sleeves as I didn't notice those so I can make those anyways.

But hey, at least I wasn't that off. ^^;;; So guess will have to add these alterations to the list of things to do for Otakon now. Blah.

Part of me feels like I should just leave it with the red design as it looks cool...but I can't stand not being accurate. x_x; Grah.

personally i wouldnt worry too much. I mean yes there is an official image now but clamp always does a million different images of their characters so you can kinda get away with more. I think if you like the way it is then say screw it and keep it! I mean accuracy is all well in good, but sometimes its nice to stand out a little especially when its just a color thing.

Hm, that is true. Kinda surprised they actually did decide to go with plain black and white. XP Hm, well, I think I'll probably keep the lining at least. Not sure yet.

Don't know about the rest of it, but spray paint holds to metal pretty well. Even though it's probably better to do a couple layers.

Personally, I was a fan of the red lining. It's one of those things that are like "oh...it's ___ color? fuck that. Here's my awesome artistic skills." That's what I did with Akito, even though all his metal bits (and there's a lot -- eyeholes, zipper teeth, rectangle D rings, buckles, etc. etc) are silver, I used gold. My preference is whether it looks good with the rest of the costume as opposed to whether it is straight from the reference. (kinda like when someone chooses to use gold color instead of yellow, you know?) XD well I guess ultimately it's up to you and how much you really love the character -- aka is it worth it? Will you wear the costume enough for it to matter? Do you love the character that much to redo it? *shrug*

Hm, yeah, I think it looks better with the red. So that will probably stay at least. Debating on whether to change the button do-hickies though. lol

I do love Subaru enough to do it over again but I don't know if I want to waste that red lining fabric and I think it looks cooler and more vampire-ish that way (since he is a vampire in Tsubasa and all). Also since Kamui's color image is all red-themed, thought I'd go with that to match with him (especially if Dani ever cosplays him).

I'm not er good in cosplay advice since I've given up the hobby for awhile... BUT Tsubasa Chronicle has a lot of sexy men. :) Subaru is hot, but Fai still wins.
