Anime USA 2009 Report
Sadly I totally failed at taking photos this con. The only ones I have are from Saturday and most of them are of the Pandora Hearts group. So this report is going to be kinda lacking in photos this time around.
Friday:
Woke up bright and early after getting about 3-4 hours of sleep total as I was up sewing almost the entire night. x_x And still wasn't done but decided I'd finish the rest at the con. So packed everything into Dad's car and arrived around 10am. Had the, uh, "lovely" experience of meeting "ThatGuy" right as I got into the lobby. x_x;; But was soon saved by Sarah. Headed up to the room and then went to pre-reg with Eric and Liz. Dani and Laura ended up behind us in line so that made the hour wait a little bit better. After that kinda just hung in the room for a bit before finally getting into Yosuke. Headed down to the con but no one I knew was really out yet so I just kinda sat around bored, waiting for the Dealer's Room to open. Saw Tohma and Lionel and talked with them for a little bit. And had a Chie (who I think was JJ?) comes up to me being all "You broke my copy of Trial of the Dragon?! *kick*" Me: *crosses legs* Don't hurt me~". XD That was pretty amusing (would've been better if she'd been all "TRIAL OF THE DRAGGOOOON >:( lol) though me being an idiot, totally forgot to get a picture of her and her Souji which is a shame as they were really good.
Laura came by and convinced me to go get lunch (omg I actually had 2 "meals" each day this con! It was amazing, lol) so we waited for Dar, Dani, and Sarah and went over to the ever popular Chili's which was actually kinda empty surprisingly enough (just shows the huge difference between AUSA and Katsu). Split one of the ultimate trios with Sarah and Laura which was great. I love finding people who eat small like me and are willing to split stuff as I'm never hungry enough for a full item at cons. Dealer's Room was finally open by the time we got back so I went in though was pretty disappointed at first. Sasusaga wasn't even there so now I'm going to just give up and order my manga online as I've been trying since Katsu to get these books! x_x And Anime Seikai didn't have the new Nitro+Chiral figurines in so all I bought was a Gil keychain, lol.
It was getting pretty late already so decided might as well change into Ciel even though I had barely any time in Yosuke. Oh well. Maybe some day I'll have someone do P4 with me and actually get some decent photos, lol. Sarah, Liz, and Dar got their artist alley table set up and I put my doll wings and hoodies there then wandered around with Eric and Liz who were doing Bard and Maylene and Dani tagged along for a bit. I was pretty happy to finally have Kuro people to wear Ciel with 'cause as sad as it sounds, this was my first time not wearing Ciel by myself really, lol. Liz was getting kinda hungry so we went to the hotel bar and she got some nachos for us to share though we had to ask for all the stuff in separate dishes so to make sure no tomato would be on them for Dani. The food and drinks actually came pretty fast this time. In past years its taken forever so I was impressed that they seemed to have gotten a lot better even if the prices were still very high. The waitress we got was actually a fellow anime geek who seemed to be enjoying serving geeks so that was something different, lol. We decided to just stay there since it was around where we were supposed to meet up with Lionel for our shoot anyways. Found him but he was running late and just starting on the Cowboy Bebop shoot so we had to wait a bit longer.
The shoot was awesome though, as always. ^_^ Went over to the Marriott lobby which I so predicted he'd take us too, lol. As it kinda is the perfect Kuro setting. During one shot where I had my leg out, Lionel like stopped and started obsessing over my legs. x_x So there's another one on the list of people who won't leave me alone about my legs. T_T I'm not used to it and it weirds me out, lol. I dunno, I never know how to handle such compliments. But I am very anxious to see how the photos turned out. We had a nice long chat with Lionel afterwards and he seemed very interesting in doing more shoots with me in the future as he asked what I was doing at Katsu. He suggested we do one for Eternal Sonata but I of course gotta ask the rest of the group on that one since its not really my group.
Eric and Liz went to go change and I wandered on my own for a bit as I wanted more time in Ciel and since I really didn't have anything to do for a while. Totally dropped my badge when going down the escalator though. I was so focused on getting my train up in time that I must have dropped it right after I took it out to show the staffer. Didn't realize I had dropped it until I got to the artist alley and was talking to Dar for a bit and then was like "...shit." So went back to look for it but couldn't find it and didn't want to go back up the escalator in fear of not being able to get back down if I didn't find it up there. So went over to lost and found (and like seriously, if I had gone back upstairs, I wouldn't have even been able to get to the lost and found to check for the badge x_x Good set-up there. Though I suppose I could have snucked in through the elevators as once again they were not checking those.) and took forever to get their attention as the lost and found was just in the security part so they were all busy doing a million things. Like as soon as they finally turned to me, they get a message on their walkie-talkie and suddenly it was all "CODE PINK!!! CODE PINK!!!" and they're all running around and I'm like "....o_o;; what the hell just happened?" lol But eventually I got to talk to the guy and gave him my info in case it turned up. Then as I was leaving, I overheard a guy being all "found this..." and then realized it was a badge right as it was gone from view and like ran over to the guy like "O_O Did that badge say Lyn by any chance?" and he's like "....hold on" and runs in and I'm all "I guess that's a yes". So huzzah badge found. XD
After that, I looked over at where the Ball was going on in Main Events and lo and behold is Gabi checking people at the door, looking quite fabulous in her steampunk dress, which was her first attempt at a dress by herself and it came out quite nice! Was a bit jealous how well done it was for someone with so little experience. XD My first stuff was godawful. But anyways, was happily chatting with her and then Andrew and Dani2 came over, also on staff for the Ball, also in steampunk regalia, and so we had like a mini college reunion. Then only a few seconds later this guy in a tux comes over to be checked and we look up and do a "O_O" and he does a "O_O" at us 'cause holy shit it was Jesse from our college, who known of us had seen in years! So this resulted in much chatting and happiness in what was actually one of my favorite moments of the whole con because I love my college crew to death. They have never failed in cheering me up. And I guess my Ciel costume kinda matched the stuff they were wearing as people kept asking for photos of us all together. XD

They kept telling me I should go into the Ball and I'm like "Hell no. You expect me to dance in this thing? I'll get stepped on all over the place". lol And yeah, I know Eric, I really need to add hidden ties or something so I can hold the train up when I walk. Pfft I'm never smart enough to think of such things. Had a nice long chat with a photographer dude that was really impressed by my outfit and somehow we ended up talking about careers and stuff after I explained how I work for theater off and on and whatnot. Kinda wish I had caught his name though as he was really interesting and curious to see where he posts his photos. Thought he was an AUSA official photographer at first but I don't see his photos on the site. He wasn't creepy though so I think he was genuine at least. And lol, Gabi, Andrew, and Dani2 all disappeared on me at one point into the ball and so like there was no one at the door and so people going in kept looking at me, thinking I was a staffer so I was like "derp derp" and giving the yes or no on attire for a bit there. XD Ran off after they all decided to go into the ball and had another staff guy take over for them (who I guess was old time friends with Gabi as he was all "Oh! The famous Lyn I keep hearing about!" and I was all O_o?? lol Wonder what Gabi has been saying XD). Finally changed out of Ciel so I could go check out the burlesque show. Sarah ended up grabbing me and well, I thought I was just going to be in the audience with her or at most at the sound booth thing when she said she was technically supposed to be helping out. But then like she ended up pulling me backstage with her. ^^;;; Eheh. I was a bit nervous as I was pretty sure I wasn't really supposed to be there. But Patti and Josh seemed cool with it and I did at least try to help people with anything they needed and helped man the backdoor.
The burlesque show itself was actually really good. I had no idea there were going to be stripping down to pasties man! O_O It was quite the nice sight. Mmmhmm. And Eric's numbers were fabulous of course. Even if his fake boobs were a bit scary due to the fact that when squeezed they looked really freaky. XD They also make this wonderful farting noise if squeezed a certain way. Though before the show ended, Sarah and I both realized that Dar had been texting us like woah about the artist alley table and neither had noticed. Oops. ^^; So we tailed out of there so we could all help take stuff down. Went back to the room and pretty much stayed there the rest of the night, trying to finish the last bits of Gil I had to do. Was really damn tired though so at one point I just stopped and laid down on the bed for a while and ohhhh maaaan it felt so nice to be laying down. I was like "....this is the most amazing thing ever" to Sarah. lol Pizza was ordered and thus I couldn't resist a slice (lol I think I ate more than I've ever eaten at a con this time and most of I didn't even have to pay for, huzzah!). Gave me enough energy to finish Gil's hat and then I promptly and very happily passed out.
Saturday:
Took us all quite a while to finally drag ourselves out of bed but we finally managed. Sarah did a quick restyling of my Cloud wig, or at least the best she could with the wig I had. Thinking of maybe just getting a new one and commissioning her whenever I figure out when I'm wearing it next so I can have one that has more spikes and whatnot. Got into costume, headed down, ended up riding an elevator with some KH kids and a Squall, lol, got to the lobby, and then realized one of my bolts had fallen off already. T_T Must have fallen off in the elevator as I couldn't find it in the small distance I had walked and the people in the elevator in me told me that I had in fact had all 3 when they talked to me (as they were all "oh wow you used real bolts!" and admiring them). T_T So yeah, guess I'll have to try to find a new matching one. And then on my way down the escalator, managed to snap off one of my "spikes" on my gauntlet. Pfft so I was just falling apart all over the place but luckily they were both in places where it was easy to hide in any photos taken.
Found an Echo cosplayer (from Pandora Hearts) and was all "Yay! Echo-chan!" and made sure to tell her where we were meeting for Pandora Hearts later as she was one of two folks who wasn't in Corey's group that we wanted to makes sure we found. So I was pretty glad to find her so quickly. XD
Felt a little bad as someone was trying to call me over to take a photo with Squall and dude I am always willing to do fights with Squalls, lol. But I was trying to find Corey at the time and didn't want to lose her. ^^;; Oh well. Did get a few fight shots in with a Sephiroth though but granted my sword was turned the wrong way in the way we were posing and I was all "....um, this doesn't...oh well, whatever *pose*". XD
Found Corey and helped her find doll people and such. I didn't bring any of mine due to not wanting to overwhelm myself with expensive items (since I already had my sword and Ciel with me). Didn't really get to stay at the doll meet though due to it being close to my hall time so I just headed over there. Granted they were running late so I probably could've hung out longer. Oh well. Ginny and Monty were over there so got to chat with them, along with other contestants who I had some very nice and friendly chats about various construction stories. This is one of the reasons I really enjoy doing Hall, especially at smaller cons, 'cause everyone tends to be pretty friendly to each other and you get to find out all sorts of new ideas of how to make things. Like usual the judges were very nice and helpful though I knew pretty fast that I had no chance of getting anything 'cause I started realizing how I could have done a number of things better pretty early on. I still think I'm not quite Craftsman status really but I'll continue to work at it and get better! After that, saw that Corey had disappeared but also noticed that the FF shoot was going on outside so figured, why not, lol and wandered over.
It was a pretty small turnout for a FF shoot which surprised me especially being a Sat and all. I guess its finally dying down a bit or just that AUSA is gone down in size this year in general. There was just a FF6 group, a few FF7 peeps, and like a handful of people from the other games. But then again I did get there a bit late so there might have been more earlier. A rather good Angeal spotted me immediately and was all "I will live on in you..." Me: "*blink* (wondering if he's actually supposed to be a Zack but got the hair wrong) Him: "Oh wait...you never actually meet me, do you?" Me: "Nope." Him: "Nevermind then! You get the idea XD" I dunno it was amusing at the time at least. He was actually pretty cool. And then the Sephiroth from earlier came over and so did an AC Cloud who was all "yo me from the past!" and we were being dorks about that and people were admiring my sword and just the fact that I was doing regular Cloud in general as there really aren't many of us now. Also had a mock argument with a Vincent over who angsts more and I was all "Dude. Coffin. Nuff said." "Touche." But then we agreed that AC Cloud was even worse and I gave my future self a scolding. XD Then someone had Seph kill both me and the other Cloud and we were both like "LAAAAAME." And then the Sephiroth was like "No no, I don't want to kill Cloud, I just want to make his life miserable." And then like...grabs my chin suggestively and I'm all O_o;;;;!!! Ok yeah I love that pairing but dude, don't touch me when I don't know you. And you're a dude. >> *sighs* Why can't I ever have that happen when its a girl for a change. So yeah I'm sure that photo he wanted is going to turn out kinda weird with me giving a total "O_o" expression.
But yeah, had enough of that, so decided to go back to the room and change into Gil. Went over to Corey's room so that she could help me with my wig and I walk in to see Break and Jack frozen in mid-fight over a box of sugar cubes. And I was like "...*turns around to leave* I'll come back later." I don't think they realize how suggestive it looked from my POV because it was like Break/Corey had the box of sugar to her chest and Jack was reaching out at it so to me it looked more like Jack was trying to feel Break up since I didn't even notice the sugar. XD I should've taken that as a sign of how the rest of the day was going to be because the crack was non-stop the entire time we in those costumes.
Our group consisted of Corey as Break (flashback version), Me as Gil, John as Jack, and Jensen as Sharon. And the bastards brought a cat plush with them to torture me with the ENTIRE FREAKING DAY. T_T For those that don't know PH, Gil has a phobia of cats and so every time they decided to throw the cat in my face, I made a run for it. Which often resulted in me falling over somehow. This is what I get for cosplaying the most abused character in the series with a bunch of sadists in the group. Didn't take us too long to find Bitter who was also doing Sharon and then the Echo, who I was shocked to realize was one of Courtney's friends, lol. So we ended up dragging Courtney along with us to take photos and enjoy the crack despite not knowing anything about the series.
On the outside terrace we encountered an L cosplayer who had a teacup full of sugar and a plate of cake. Which made our Break stop and go after the cakes, trying to trade the box of sugar and lollipop she already had for the cakes but the L of course refused. And thus started a little epic battle between them which resulted in some of the cakes and sugar falling onto the ground.
Both parties mourned their lose.
The whole group (minus me, lol) kept eating the sugar cubes throughout the whole day. Echo amused me the most in fact that she especially kept eating them and we all claimed that she suddenly gained a personality because of it. XD Then we went outside to take photos across from the con in that one little area of grass.

Pandora Thriller? Started by Echo
Sharon (Bitter) hitting Break with her huuuge fan she got in the Dealer's Room. XD With Echo watching on curiously.
Most of the outdoor photos were taken by Courtney so you'll have to wait til she gets those up. But man, I seriously lost count of how many times I was knocked over that day. The best being during one of my many attempts to run away from the cat (dammit Jack!) as I was running by the Sharons who were still on the bench, Break turns slightly and ends up bumping me and I go flying right between the Sharons. XDXD It was kinda a spectacular fall, I must say. I also ended up using my hat a lot as a means of hiding from the cat, using the motto "If I can't see it, it doesn't exist". Though they often ended up taking my hat away. T_T
This is said cat being hugged by a Sebastian we ran into at one point. I'm sure she would've been appalled if she knew what fate awaited that cat later that night. *cough*
We then decided we were all hungry and made our way over to the Japanese restaurant (minus Echo and Courtney who weren't hungry) which was really really good. Granted I only ordered miso and shumai since I had to eat light but oh man it hit the spot! And it was pretty empty too so our food came fast. Much silly chatting about PH occurred over food though Bitter soon had to leave us in order to get to another shoot. Then after food we all made our way into the Dealer's Room and this time I spent more time actually looking at stuff and ended up buying the Leaks coin figure, the FF Coca Cola Cloud figure (forgot I was missing that one XD), and got one of the CLAMP 3D boxes...and this time I got Kurogane finally. XD Huzzah! Jensen bought a bunch of PH and Kuro stickers and she let us all have some according to our various characters and whatnot. So now I have Gil and the Phantomhive crest on my phone. ^_^
Then we all headed up to their room(s) (they had two connecting rooms) and Break collapsed on the floor for a while and we all goofed around up there. I lost track of how many times I ended up falling off the bed, half the time being pushed off by one of the others. Pfft. I'm surprised my costume held up as well as it did with all the abuse it got, lol. Various other roomies came in and out of their room (dear lord did they have a lot of people in the rooms o_o;) and then at one point this guy who I guess was in the room but was kinda creepy comes in with...one of the "fail roommates" from the previous AUSA room Ren and I shared in tow and they declared they had been trying to find privacy and so they end up taking over the shower and we all took that as a sign that it was time to get the hell out of there and go back to wandering. >> 'Cause...ew. So wandering we did.

Headed down to the artist alley for a bit where Corey bought a pair of my doll wings. Someone else had already bought the other pair so I was all "huzzah! monies!" Ran into Tohma and talked with her for a bit. Then realized I had forgot my gloves upstairs in their room and was all "...I feel naked without them T_T" lol So we headed back to their room (thank god the fail roommate and her friend were gone by then) and Corey gave me the money for the wings and once again we ended up just goofing up there for a while.
At some point when were discussing the various characters, Waffles suddenly goes "Oh! I saw a Cheshire on the elevator earlier." And we all go dead silent "....wait, what?" "Yeah, Pandora Hearts Cheshire?" All of us: "WHERE?! WHEN?! Why didn't you tell us?!" "...I forgot ^^;;" So our entire group gets up and like runs out of the room in determination to find this Cheshire cosplayer. We get down to the lobby and Sharon is all "well how hard can it be to find a Cheshire, I mean the costume sticks out pretty well" and suddenly Jack stops us and turns us around and there right in front of us is Cheshire. XD We spazzed and she spazzed at us. And then she chased me around the lobby. T_T And not too long after that Courtney and Echo came back from their own dinner so we joined up with them again and found a spot to take more crack photos.
After we had settled down in our new spot, two girls came over and started admiring Corey's Elf Ivan that we had brought along with us and I look over and notice they had the limited edition fullset Sleeping Yen which I had never seen before in person so we talked dolls for a while. And I then noticed they had the other pair of wings I sold in their bag. XD So I was like "yay you bought my wings" and they were so happy to meet me and such. Though I was like "oh crap, sorry, but gotta go take photos". ^^;

Trying to reenact the flashback scene. Though granted technically I think it was Shelly's lap Break was in but young Shelly looks almost identical to Sharon so it still works. XD
I forgot what was going on here but it was funny. XD
And then. Well. >>; We had a very interesting moment. Jack takes my camera from me and hands it to Corey saying "I got an idea." And I'm all "O_o?" And then he says "I apologize ahead of time for what I'm about to do but I have to do this." And I'm even more "O_o????" and then all of a sudden he grabs me and dips me! And I'm like "....oh! lol Ok this could be a pretty cool/funny pose considering the characters we're doing....DID HE JUST KISS ME?!"

According to Courtney I did some major flailage. Hey at least I stayed in character? Pfffft. John's lucky he's a sweetheart and that I already knew him at this point else I might've punched him for pulling a stunt like that on me. Eric was making fun of me all night, being all "Tsk Lyn, you lost your gold gay star" as its true I actually had never been kissed by anyone male before that, lol. But nah, I gotta say props to John for doing that as it was pretty damn hilarious even if it scared the shit out of me. Everyone's reactions were pretty amusing. Echo was like appalled, Courtney was dying at my flail, most were amused, and Cheshire was like "I like ^.^" in this insanely adorable voice. lol Pffft.
Then we kidnapped an England cosplayer because her current get-up and wig made her look a lot like Oz. XD And even though she had no idea what Pandora Hearts was, she was very Oz-like in nature so it worked. And for some reason we decided then to play jump rope with Cheshire's scarf.

Video takes up a lot of room on my camera so didn't videotape the rest but everyone had a go at it. Oddly enough, Gil lasted the longest. XDXD hahaha Though I did have yet another epic fall at the end.
Corey managed to get this great action shot of it. XD lol I'm like "whee!" And my hat actually stayed on the whole time.
The England/"Oz" had to go and eat something so Sharon and Cheshire went with her and Courtney and I both decided we needed to change out of our costumes. And Corey decided she needed to change out and crash for a while. So we all went our separate ways. I changed into regular clothes, met up with Courtney and Echo again and made our way to the Kaya concert. Had decided to just go to it after it started so I wouldn't have to wait in line and could just stand in the back and watch since it was the only way I was getting anyone to go with me. ^^;; That and I would've missed some of the PH crack if I had gone earlier.
Granted I do kinda wish I had gotten to see the whole concert as what I did see of it was really good. I stayed for about an hour though Courtney and Echo left before me. Kaya was adorable and his back-up dancers made me laugh a lot. But oh man they were really good though! It was a really really entertaining concert all around. I hadn't really seen many videos of Kaya performing, only knew his music, so didn't realize how cool the performance would be. He had several costume changes when I was there. Started with one of his big black gothic dresses and then changed into a red yukata (though couldn't quite tell if it was a loli yukata or not as I couldn't see if it was long or short) and then (to my surprise) into a fancy "prince" outfit. I'd never seen Kaya wear men's clothing before, lol. But oh man the outfit was really awesome. *_* I was reluctant to leave but it was getting close to midnight and I knew we were supposed to have skit practice then.
I got into parts of Gil (the wig, shirt, and pants) 'cause we had planned before to have like a silly little casual/pj PH group while doing rehearsal and that way Becca could join in as Vincent since her Vincent costume wasn't finished for the con. So I get there and they're like "Gil's arrived!" and Becca/Vincent jumps up and goes flailing at me and I'm like "Oh god! *tries to run away and is tackled*" XD Becca was so insanely in character as Vincent it was kinda frightening. lol She doesn't even need the costume. She was all "Look what I did to that nasty cat that was torturing you!" And lo and behold, they had given her the cat plush and she took to it just like Vincent does any plush in the series. Ripped it to shreds. So there were cat pieces all over the place. I was torn between being disturbed and being happy that they didn't have the cat to torture me with anymore. lol
Meanwhile poor Corey was kinda dead in bed, the lack of sleep and overdose of sugar finally taking a toll on her. She ended up passed out for most of the time we were up there. One of their roommates put on AMV Hell 0 and so I finally had the uh "pleasure" of seeing it as I had only heard of it before. Wow. It was...special. lol Our whole group was kinda like "....aahhhh...oh god! ...O_o;" and yet we couldn't look away. XD Vincent had a death grip on me the whole time and kept covering my eyes, lol. Especially whenever a catgirl was on the screen. "Oh, kitty is doing naughty things. Bad kitty bad!"
Then all the non-PH people in the room went to go watch a hentai panel, leaving us with a dead Corey/Break. XD The group had me show Vincent the photo of Jack kissing Gil and Vincent immediately got up and went after Jack. XD Who then managed to catch her off guard and do the same to her. lol John was on a roll man. Then Vincent started Bible diving. XD Asked random questions and would open the Bible up to a random page and read the first scripture her eyes landed on as the answer. This proved to be highly entertaining.
"Is Sabrie really my fault?" "...and the village was plummeted into fire and chaos..." "Guess that would be yes. My bad."
"Is Jack an evil bastard?" "And the devil did say..." "Told you!"
"Is Gil the best brother in the world?" "And the glory of God..." "YES! It's true!"
etc etc. This went on for quite a while. XD That and she kept trying to offer Sharon tea (in the series Vincent poisons Sharon at one point XD).
"Oh brother I'll always be there for you." "...that's what I'm afraid of." And once again I somehow managed to fall off the bed a million times. Mostly due to the fact I was on the edge and Vincent/Becca kept moving around a lot. XD And at one point I was like "...o_o I feel something warm and pointy...umm...Vincent?" But it was just Corey's foot under the covers. XDXD So looks like even half out of our costumes, the crack continued. Eventually we did get Corey up and went into the hall to attempt skit practice but we didn't really get that far with it as poor Corey was just really out of it. So we'll just have to do a really big rehearsal at Katsu for those who can't come to the Dec meet. Though I think most of us will be there.
So after that I went back to the room finally, took a shower and got into my pjs and ate some ramen as I hadn't eaten since lunch. And then promptly went to bed with Sarah (Eric was already pretty much passed out) where accidental footsie commenced for a bit before we passed out. XD
Sunday:
Reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and took my stuff down to Corey's room to store it since they had the room til Monday and didn't want to lug it around with me all day. Corey was pretty sick in bed so that canceled our plans to do Kuro that day which was fine by me as I didn't really feel like putting Ciel on at that point. Courtney also needed a place to stash her stuff so she came up as well. Then me, her, John, and Jen went to the Japanese place for lunch. This time I ordered...*gasp* two appetizers with my miso. XD Though I split one with Courtney. And I was not prepared for how much Edamame they were going to give me. lol Took me a while to finish it and ended up loosing several beans as I fail. XD Some did some epic flying manuevers though (this is why you don't take me out to nice places ^^;;). We then met up with Echo and went into the Dealer's Room for the last hour. I had a bit more money now thanks to my wings selling so managed to get the Zack figure finally. And also grabbed the Oz keychain to go with my Gil.
Ran into Vanora, her hubby and child at the Katsucon booth. Did my usual pretend smile at the baby and tried to act as nice as I could while inside I was going "ohgodohgod its starring at me T_T" And then upon realizing it was $5 cheaper to pre-reg for Katsu there, decided I might as well since I was planning to do it after the con anyways. But while I was filling out the form, Vanora's baby grabbed a hold of my shirt. T____T Oh man talk about will power. Luckily it didn't take me too long and I dashed back over to the others. We finished there and headed out and Courtney decided she should probably head out so we went upstairs to get her stuff.
While up there, the fail roommate and her friend were awake and had this catgirl with them. And well I was a bit oblivious at first. I knew they were scratching the catgirl's head but didn't think much more about it. So totally didn't notice why Courtney and Echo dashed out of the room so quickly. Until I was talking with the others and suddenly we hear...moaning and panting. And we all kinda just look at each other like "...O_O" and start talking louder, trying to drown it out. 'Cause...ew. EW! wtf. It was so disturbing. >> And the only reason we all stayed there was 'cause Corey couldn't move from her bed and we didn't really want to leave her alone with them. And the girl in charge of the rooms wasn't really telling them to stop...seemed to be encouraging them actually. x_x; But I was pretty glad when Echo called me to say that she was back at the hotel (she had walked Courtney to her bus) so me and Sharon dashed back out to escape. And I've been told it got worse after we left too. >>; And later realized that the catgirl was actually a "trap" which kinda added a whole new level of awkwardness to it all. ...ew.
Sharon and I met up with Echo to keep her company since she wasn't going to leave the con til around 5 or so. So we hung out and found a place to sit and talk for a while. Said goodbye to various people. Eventually it got late so Sharon and I both went back upstairs to get our own stuff while Echo guarded the couch we had taken up and took two trips to get all our stuff done. Luckily the catgirl was done when we got back up there. >>; Said goodbye to Corey and everyone and then sat with our stuff for a while until Echo left and then Sharon had to go and then it was just me waiting for my ride as my parents got a bit of a late start. Though luckily I noticed Link sitting nearby so had a rather nice chat with him til they got there and I went home. End con. XD
So all in all, another good con for me.

Friday:
Woke up bright and early after getting about 3-4 hours of sleep total as I was up sewing almost the entire night. x_x And still wasn't done but decided I'd finish the rest at the con. So packed everything into Dad's car and arrived around 10am. Had the, uh, "lovely" experience of meeting "ThatGuy" right as I got into the lobby. x_x;; But was soon saved by Sarah. Headed up to the room and then went to pre-reg with Eric and Liz. Dani and Laura ended up behind us in line so that made the hour wait a little bit better. After that kinda just hung in the room for a bit before finally getting into Yosuke. Headed down to the con but no one I knew was really out yet so I just kinda sat around bored, waiting for the Dealer's Room to open. Saw Tohma and Lionel and talked with them for a little bit. And had a Chie (who I think was JJ?) comes up to me being all "You broke my copy of Trial of the Dragon?! *kick*" Me: *crosses legs* Don't hurt me~". XD That was pretty amusing (would've been better if she'd been all "TRIAL OF THE DRAGGOOOON >:( lol) though me being an idiot, totally forgot to get a picture of her and her Souji which is a shame as they were really good.
Laura came by and convinced me to go get lunch (omg I actually had 2 "meals" each day this con! It was amazing, lol) so we waited for Dar, Dani, and Sarah and went over to the ever popular Chili's which was actually kinda empty surprisingly enough (just shows the huge difference between AUSA and Katsu). Split one of the ultimate trios with Sarah and Laura which was great. I love finding people who eat small like me and are willing to split stuff as I'm never hungry enough for a full item at cons. Dealer's Room was finally open by the time we got back so I went in though was pretty disappointed at first. Sasusaga wasn't even there so now I'm going to just give up and order my manga online as I've been trying since Katsu to get these books! x_x And Anime Seikai didn't have the new Nitro+Chiral figurines in so all I bought was a Gil keychain, lol.
It was getting pretty late already so decided might as well change into Ciel even though I had barely any time in Yosuke. Oh well. Maybe some day I'll have someone do P4 with me and actually get some decent photos, lol. Sarah, Liz, and Dar got their artist alley table set up and I put my doll wings and hoodies there then wandered around with Eric and Liz who were doing Bard and Maylene and Dani tagged along for a bit. I was pretty happy to finally have Kuro people to wear Ciel with 'cause as sad as it sounds, this was my first time not wearing Ciel by myself really, lol. Liz was getting kinda hungry so we went to the hotel bar and she got some nachos for us to share though we had to ask for all the stuff in separate dishes so to make sure no tomato would be on them for Dani. The food and drinks actually came pretty fast this time. In past years its taken forever so I was impressed that they seemed to have gotten a lot better even if the prices were still very high. The waitress we got was actually a fellow anime geek who seemed to be enjoying serving geeks so that was something different, lol. We decided to just stay there since it was around where we were supposed to meet up with Lionel for our shoot anyways. Found him but he was running late and just starting on the Cowboy Bebop shoot so we had to wait a bit longer.
The shoot was awesome though, as always. ^_^ Went over to the Marriott lobby which I so predicted he'd take us too, lol. As it kinda is the perfect Kuro setting. During one shot where I had my leg out, Lionel like stopped and started obsessing over my legs. x_x So there's another one on the list of people who won't leave me alone about my legs. T_T I'm not used to it and it weirds me out, lol. I dunno, I never know how to handle such compliments. But I am very anxious to see how the photos turned out. We had a nice long chat with Lionel afterwards and he seemed very interesting in doing more shoots with me in the future as he asked what I was doing at Katsu. He suggested we do one for Eternal Sonata but I of course gotta ask the rest of the group on that one since its not really my group.
Eric and Liz went to go change and I wandered on my own for a bit as I wanted more time in Ciel and since I really didn't have anything to do for a while. Totally dropped my badge when going down the escalator though. I was so focused on getting my train up in time that I must have dropped it right after I took it out to show the staffer. Didn't realize I had dropped it until I got to the artist alley and was talking to Dar for a bit and then was like "...shit." So went back to look for it but couldn't find it and didn't want to go back up the escalator in fear of not being able to get back down if I didn't find it up there. So went over to lost and found (and like seriously, if I had gone back upstairs, I wouldn't have even been able to get to the lost and found to check for the badge x_x Good set-up there. Though I suppose I could have snucked in through the elevators as once again they were not checking those.) and took forever to get their attention as the lost and found was just in the security part so they were all busy doing a million things. Like as soon as they finally turned to me, they get a message on their walkie-talkie and suddenly it was all "CODE PINK!!! CODE PINK!!!" and they're all running around and I'm like "....o_o;; what the hell just happened?" lol But eventually I got to talk to the guy and gave him my info in case it turned up. Then as I was leaving, I overheard a guy being all "found this..." and then realized it was a badge right as it was gone from view and like ran over to the guy like "O_O Did that badge say Lyn by any chance?" and he's like "....hold on" and runs in and I'm all "I guess that's a yes". So huzzah badge found. XD
After that, I looked over at where the Ball was going on in Main Events and lo and behold is Gabi checking people at the door, looking quite fabulous in her steampunk dress, which was her first attempt at a dress by herself and it came out quite nice! Was a bit jealous how well done it was for someone with so little experience. XD My first stuff was godawful. But anyways, was happily chatting with her and then Andrew and Dani2 came over, also on staff for the Ball, also in steampunk regalia, and so we had like a mini college reunion. Then only a few seconds later this guy in a tux comes over to be checked and we look up and do a "O_O" and he does a "O_O" at us 'cause holy shit it was Jesse from our college, who known of us had seen in years! So this resulted in much chatting and happiness in what was actually one of my favorite moments of the whole con because I love my college crew to death. They have never failed in cheering me up. And I guess my Ciel costume kinda matched the stuff they were wearing as people kept asking for photos of us all together. XD

They kept telling me I should go into the Ball and I'm like "Hell no. You expect me to dance in this thing? I'll get stepped on all over the place". lol And yeah, I know Eric, I really need to add hidden ties or something so I can hold the train up when I walk. Pfft I'm never smart enough to think of such things. Had a nice long chat with a photographer dude that was really impressed by my outfit and somehow we ended up talking about careers and stuff after I explained how I work for theater off and on and whatnot. Kinda wish I had caught his name though as he was really interesting and curious to see where he posts his photos. Thought he was an AUSA official photographer at first but I don't see his photos on the site. He wasn't creepy though so I think he was genuine at least. And lol, Gabi, Andrew, and Dani2 all disappeared on me at one point into the ball and so like there was no one at the door and so people going in kept looking at me, thinking I was a staffer so I was like "derp derp" and giving the yes or no on attire for a bit there. XD Ran off after they all decided to go into the ball and had another staff guy take over for them (who I guess was old time friends with Gabi as he was all "Oh! The famous Lyn I keep hearing about!" and I was all O_o?? lol Wonder what Gabi has been saying XD). Finally changed out of Ciel so I could go check out the burlesque show. Sarah ended up grabbing me and well, I thought I was just going to be in the audience with her or at most at the sound booth thing when she said she was technically supposed to be helping out. But then like she ended up pulling me backstage with her. ^^;;; Eheh. I was a bit nervous as I was pretty sure I wasn't really supposed to be there. But Patti and Josh seemed cool with it and I did at least try to help people with anything they needed and helped man the backdoor.
The burlesque show itself was actually really good. I had no idea there were going to be stripping down to pasties man! O_O It was quite the nice sight. Mmmhmm. And Eric's numbers were fabulous of course. Even if his fake boobs were a bit scary due to the fact that when squeezed they looked really freaky. XD They also make this wonderful farting noise if squeezed a certain way. Though before the show ended, Sarah and I both realized that Dar had been texting us like woah about the artist alley table and neither had noticed. Oops. ^^; So we tailed out of there so we could all help take stuff down. Went back to the room and pretty much stayed there the rest of the night, trying to finish the last bits of Gil I had to do. Was really damn tired though so at one point I just stopped and laid down on the bed for a while and ohhhh maaaan it felt so nice to be laying down. I was like "....this is the most amazing thing ever" to Sarah. lol Pizza was ordered and thus I couldn't resist a slice (lol I think I ate more than I've ever eaten at a con this time and most of I didn't even have to pay for, huzzah!). Gave me enough energy to finish Gil's hat and then I promptly and very happily passed out.
Saturday:
Took us all quite a while to finally drag ourselves out of bed but we finally managed. Sarah did a quick restyling of my Cloud wig, or at least the best she could with the wig I had. Thinking of maybe just getting a new one and commissioning her whenever I figure out when I'm wearing it next so I can have one that has more spikes and whatnot. Got into costume, headed down, ended up riding an elevator with some KH kids and a Squall, lol, got to the lobby, and then realized one of my bolts had fallen off already. T_T Must have fallen off in the elevator as I couldn't find it in the small distance I had walked and the people in the elevator in me told me that I had in fact had all 3 when they talked to me (as they were all "oh wow you used real bolts!" and admiring them). T_T So yeah, guess I'll have to try to find a new matching one. And then on my way down the escalator, managed to snap off one of my "spikes" on my gauntlet. Pfft so I was just falling apart all over the place but luckily they were both in places where it was easy to hide in any photos taken.
Found an Echo cosplayer (from Pandora Hearts) and was all "Yay! Echo-chan!" and made sure to tell her where we were meeting for Pandora Hearts later as she was one of two folks who wasn't in Corey's group that we wanted to makes sure we found. So I was pretty glad to find her so quickly. XD
Felt a little bad as someone was trying to call me over to take a photo with Squall and dude I am always willing to do fights with Squalls, lol. But I was trying to find Corey at the time and didn't want to lose her. ^^;; Oh well. Did get a few fight shots in with a Sephiroth though but granted my sword was turned the wrong way in the way we were posing and I was all "....um, this doesn't...oh well, whatever *pose*". XD
Found Corey and helped her find doll people and such. I didn't bring any of mine due to not wanting to overwhelm myself with expensive items (since I already had my sword and Ciel with me). Didn't really get to stay at the doll meet though due to it being close to my hall time so I just headed over there. Granted they were running late so I probably could've hung out longer. Oh well. Ginny and Monty were over there so got to chat with them, along with other contestants who I had some very nice and friendly chats about various construction stories. This is one of the reasons I really enjoy doing Hall, especially at smaller cons, 'cause everyone tends to be pretty friendly to each other and you get to find out all sorts of new ideas of how to make things. Like usual the judges were very nice and helpful though I knew pretty fast that I had no chance of getting anything 'cause I started realizing how I could have done a number of things better pretty early on. I still think I'm not quite Craftsman status really but I'll continue to work at it and get better! After that, saw that Corey had disappeared but also noticed that the FF shoot was going on outside so figured, why not, lol and wandered over.
It was a pretty small turnout for a FF shoot which surprised me especially being a Sat and all. I guess its finally dying down a bit or just that AUSA is gone down in size this year in general. There was just a FF6 group, a few FF7 peeps, and like a handful of people from the other games. But then again I did get there a bit late so there might have been more earlier. A rather good Angeal spotted me immediately and was all "I will live on in you..." Me: "*blink* (wondering if he's actually supposed to be a Zack but got the hair wrong) Him: "Oh wait...you never actually meet me, do you?" Me: "Nope." Him: "Nevermind then! You get the idea XD" I dunno it was amusing at the time at least. He was actually pretty cool. And then the Sephiroth from earlier came over and so did an AC Cloud who was all "yo me from the past!" and we were being dorks about that and people were admiring my sword and just the fact that I was doing regular Cloud in general as there really aren't many of us now. Also had a mock argument with a Vincent over who angsts more and I was all "Dude. Coffin. Nuff said." "Touche." But then we agreed that AC Cloud was even worse and I gave my future self a scolding. XD Then someone had Seph kill both me and the other Cloud and we were both like "LAAAAAME." And then the Sephiroth was like "No no, I don't want to kill Cloud, I just want to make his life miserable." And then like...grabs my chin suggestively and I'm all O_o;;;;!!! Ok yeah I love that pairing but dude, don't touch me when I don't know you. And you're a dude. >> *sighs* Why can't I ever have that happen when its a girl for a change. So yeah I'm sure that photo he wanted is going to turn out kinda weird with me giving a total "O_o" expression.
But yeah, had enough of that, so decided to go back to the room and change into Gil. Went over to Corey's room so that she could help me with my wig and I walk in to see Break and Jack frozen in mid-fight over a box of sugar cubes. And I was like "...*turns around to leave* I'll come back later." I don't think they realize how suggestive it looked from my POV because it was like Break/Corey had the box of sugar to her chest and Jack was reaching out at it so to me it looked more like Jack was trying to feel Break up since I didn't even notice the sugar. XD I should've taken that as a sign of how the rest of the day was going to be because the crack was non-stop the entire time we in those costumes.
Our group consisted of Corey as Break (flashback version), Me as Gil, John as Jack, and Jensen as Sharon. And the bastards brought a cat plush with them to torture me with the ENTIRE FREAKING DAY. T_T For those that don't know PH, Gil has a phobia of cats and so every time they decided to throw the cat in my face, I made a run for it. Which often resulted in me falling over somehow. This is what I get for cosplaying the most abused character in the series with a bunch of sadists in the group. Didn't take us too long to find Bitter who was also doing Sharon and then the Echo, who I was shocked to realize was one of Courtney's friends, lol. So we ended up dragging Courtney along with us to take photos and enjoy the crack despite not knowing anything about the series.
On the outside terrace we encountered an L cosplayer who had a teacup full of sugar and a plate of cake. Which made our Break stop and go after the cakes, trying to trade the box of sugar and lollipop she already had for the cakes but the L of course refused. And thus started a little epic battle between them which resulted in some of the cakes and sugar falling onto the ground.
Both parties mourned their lose.
The whole group (minus me, lol) kept eating the sugar cubes throughout the whole day. Echo amused me the most in fact that she especially kept eating them and we all claimed that she suddenly gained a personality because of it. XD Then we went outside to take photos across from the con in that one little area of grass.

Pandora Thriller? Started by Echo
Sharon (Bitter) hitting Break with her huuuge fan she got in the Dealer's Room. XD With Echo watching on curiously.
Most of the outdoor photos were taken by Courtney so you'll have to wait til she gets those up. But man, I seriously lost count of how many times I was knocked over that day. The best being during one of my many attempts to run away from the cat (dammit Jack!) as I was running by the Sharons who were still on the bench, Break turns slightly and ends up bumping me and I go flying right between the Sharons. XDXD It was kinda a spectacular fall, I must say. I also ended up using my hat a lot as a means of hiding from the cat, using the motto "If I can't see it, it doesn't exist". Though they often ended up taking my hat away. T_T
This is said cat being hugged by a Sebastian we ran into at one point. I'm sure she would've been appalled if she knew what fate awaited that cat later that night. *cough*
We then decided we were all hungry and made our way over to the Japanese restaurant (minus Echo and Courtney who weren't hungry) which was really really good. Granted I only ordered miso and shumai since I had to eat light but oh man it hit the spot! And it was pretty empty too so our food came fast. Much silly chatting about PH occurred over food though Bitter soon had to leave us in order to get to another shoot. Then after food we all made our way into the Dealer's Room and this time I spent more time actually looking at stuff and ended up buying the Leaks coin figure, the FF Coca Cola Cloud figure (forgot I was missing that one XD), and got one of the CLAMP 3D boxes...and this time I got Kurogane finally. XD Huzzah! Jensen bought a bunch of PH and Kuro stickers and she let us all have some according to our various characters and whatnot. So now I have Gil and the Phantomhive crest on my phone. ^_^
Then we all headed up to their room(s) (they had two connecting rooms) and Break collapsed on the floor for a while and we all goofed around up there. I lost track of how many times I ended up falling off the bed, half the time being pushed off by one of the others. Pfft. I'm surprised my costume held up as well as it did with all the abuse it got, lol. Various other roomies came in and out of their room (dear lord did they have a lot of people in the rooms o_o;) and then at one point this guy who I guess was in the room but was kinda creepy comes in with...one of the "fail roommates" from the previous AUSA room Ren and I shared in tow and they declared they had been trying to find privacy and so they end up taking over the shower and we all took that as a sign that it was time to get the hell out of there and go back to wandering. >> 'Cause...ew. So wandering we did.

Headed down to the artist alley for a bit where Corey bought a pair of my doll wings. Someone else had already bought the other pair so I was all "huzzah! monies!" Ran into Tohma and talked with her for a bit. Then realized I had forgot my gloves upstairs in their room and was all "...I feel naked without them T_T" lol So we headed back to their room (thank god the fail roommate and her friend were gone by then) and Corey gave me the money for the wings and once again we ended up just goofing up there for a while.
At some point when were discussing the various characters, Waffles suddenly goes "Oh! I saw a Cheshire on the elevator earlier." And we all go dead silent "....wait, what?" "Yeah, Pandora Hearts Cheshire?" All of us: "WHERE?! WHEN?! Why didn't you tell us?!" "...I forgot ^^;;" So our entire group gets up and like runs out of the room in determination to find this Cheshire cosplayer. We get down to the lobby and Sharon is all "well how hard can it be to find a Cheshire, I mean the costume sticks out pretty well" and suddenly Jack stops us and turns us around and there right in front of us is Cheshire. XD We spazzed and she spazzed at us. And then she chased me around the lobby. T_T And not too long after that Courtney and Echo came back from their own dinner so we joined up with them again and found a spot to take more crack photos.
After we had settled down in our new spot, two girls came over and started admiring Corey's Elf Ivan that we had brought along with us and I look over and notice they had the limited edition fullset Sleeping Yen which I had never seen before in person so we talked dolls for a while. And I then noticed they had the other pair of wings I sold in their bag. XD So I was like "yay you bought my wings" and they were so happy to meet me and such. Though I was like "oh crap, sorry, but gotta go take photos". ^^;

And then. Well. >>; We had a very interesting moment. Jack takes my camera from me and hands it to Corey saying "I got an idea." And I'm all "O_o?" And then he says "I apologize ahead of time for what I'm about to do but I have to do this." And I'm even more "O_o????" and then all of a sudden he grabs me and dips me! And I'm like "....oh! lol Ok this could be a pretty cool/funny pose considering the characters we're doing....DID HE JUST KISS ME?!"

According to Courtney I did some major flailage. Hey at least I stayed in character? Pfffft. John's lucky he's a sweetheart and that I already knew him at this point else I might've punched him for pulling a stunt like that on me. Eric was making fun of me all night, being all "Tsk Lyn, you lost your gold gay star" as its true I actually had never been kissed by anyone male before that, lol. But nah, I gotta say props to John for doing that as it was pretty damn hilarious even if it scared the shit out of me. Everyone's reactions were pretty amusing. Echo was like appalled, Courtney was dying at my flail, most were amused, and Cheshire was like "I like ^.^" in this insanely adorable voice. lol Pffft.
Then we kidnapped an England cosplayer because her current get-up and wig made her look a lot like Oz. XD And even though she had no idea what Pandora Hearts was, she was very Oz-like in nature so it worked. And for some reason we decided then to play jump rope with Cheshire's scarf.

The England/"Oz" had to go and eat something so Sharon and Cheshire went with her and Courtney and I both decided we needed to change out of our costumes. And Corey decided she needed to change out and crash for a while. So we all went our separate ways. I changed into regular clothes, met up with Courtney and Echo again and made our way to the Kaya concert. Had decided to just go to it after it started so I wouldn't have to wait in line and could just stand in the back and watch since it was the only way I was getting anyone to go with me. ^^;; That and I would've missed some of the PH crack if I had gone earlier.
Granted I do kinda wish I had gotten to see the whole concert as what I did see of it was really good. I stayed for about an hour though Courtney and Echo left before me. Kaya was adorable and his back-up dancers made me laugh a lot. But oh man they were really good though! It was a really really entertaining concert all around. I hadn't really seen many videos of Kaya performing, only knew his music, so didn't realize how cool the performance would be. He had several costume changes when I was there. Started with one of his big black gothic dresses and then changed into a red yukata (though couldn't quite tell if it was a loli yukata or not as I couldn't see if it was long or short) and then (to my surprise) into a fancy "prince" outfit. I'd never seen Kaya wear men's clothing before, lol. But oh man the outfit was really awesome. *_* I was reluctant to leave but it was getting close to midnight and I knew we were supposed to have skit practice then.
I got into parts of Gil (the wig, shirt, and pants) 'cause we had planned before to have like a silly little casual/pj PH group while doing rehearsal and that way Becca could join in as Vincent since her Vincent costume wasn't finished for the con. So I get there and they're like "Gil's arrived!" and Becca/Vincent jumps up and goes flailing at me and I'm like "Oh god! *tries to run away and is tackled*" XD Becca was so insanely in character as Vincent it was kinda frightening. lol She doesn't even need the costume. She was all "Look what I did to that nasty cat that was torturing you!" And lo and behold, they had given her the cat plush and she took to it just like Vincent does any plush in the series. Ripped it to shreds. So there were cat pieces all over the place. I was torn between being disturbed and being happy that they didn't have the cat to torture me with anymore. lol
Meanwhile poor Corey was kinda dead in bed, the lack of sleep and overdose of sugar finally taking a toll on her. She ended up passed out for most of the time we were up there. One of their roommates put on AMV Hell 0 and so I finally had the uh "pleasure" of seeing it as I had only heard of it before. Wow. It was...special. lol Our whole group was kinda like "....aahhhh...oh god! ...O_o;" and yet we couldn't look away. XD Vincent had a death grip on me the whole time and kept covering my eyes, lol. Especially whenever a catgirl was on the screen. "Oh, kitty is doing naughty things. Bad kitty bad!"
Then all the non-PH people in the room went to go watch a hentai panel, leaving us with a dead Corey/Break. XD The group had me show Vincent the photo of Jack kissing Gil and Vincent immediately got up and went after Jack. XD Who then managed to catch her off guard and do the same to her. lol John was on a roll man. Then Vincent started Bible diving. XD Asked random questions and would open the Bible up to a random page and read the first scripture her eyes landed on as the answer. This proved to be highly entertaining.
"Is Sabrie really my fault?" "...and the village was plummeted into fire and chaos..." "Guess that would be yes. My bad."
"Is Jack an evil bastard?" "And the devil did say..." "Told you!"
"Is Gil the best brother in the world?" "And the glory of God..." "YES! It's true!"
etc etc. This went on for quite a while. XD That and she kept trying to offer Sharon tea (in the series Vincent poisons Sharon at one point XD).
"Oh brother I'll always be there for you." "...that's what I'm afraid of." And once again I somehow managed to fall off the bed a million times. Mostly due to the fact I was on the edge and Vincent/Becca kept moving around a lot. XD And at one point I was like "...o_o I feel something warm and pointy...umm...Vincent?" But it was just Corey's foot under the covers. XDXD So looks like even half out of our costumes, the crack continued. Eventually we did get Corey up and went into the hall to attempt skit practice but we didn't really get that far with it as poor Corey was just really out of it. So we'll just have to do a really big rehearsal at Katsu for those who can't come to the Dec meet. Though I think most of us will be there.
So after that I went back to the room finally, took a shower and got into my pjs and ate some ramen as I hadn't eaten since lunch. And then promptly went to bed with Sarah (Eric was already pretty much passed out) where accidental footsie commenced for a bit before we passed out. XD
Sunday:
Reluctantly dragged myself out of bed and took my stuff down to Corey's room to store it since they had the room til Monday and didn't want to lug it around with me all day. Corey was pretty sick in bed so that canceled our plans to do Kuro that day which was fine by me as I didn't really feel like putting Ciel on at that point. Courtney also needed a place to stash her stuff so she came up as well. Then me, her, John, and Jen went to the Japanese place for lunch. This time I ordered...*gasp* two appetizers with my miso. XD Though I split one with Courtney. And I was not prepared for how much Edamame they were going to give me. lol Took me a while to finish it and ended up loosing several beans as I fail. XD Some did some epic flying manuevers though (this is why you don't take me out to nice places ^^;;). We then met up with Echo and went into the Dealer's Room for the last hour. I had a bit more money now thanks to my wings selling so managed to get the Zack figure finally. And also grabbed the Oz keychain to go with my Gil.
Ran into Vanora, her hubby and child at the Katsucon booth. Did my usual pretend smile at the baby and tried to act as nice as I could while inside I was going "ohgodohgod its starring at me T_T" And then upon realizing it was $5 cheaper to pre-reg for Katsu there, decided I might as well since I was planning to do it after the con anyways. But while I was filling out the form, Vanora's baby grabbed a hold of my shirt. T____T Oh man talk about will power. Luckily it didn't take me too long and I dashed back over to the others. We finished there and headed out and Courtney decided she should probably head out so we went upstairs to get her stuff.
While up there, the fail roommate and her friend were awake and had this catgirl with them. And well I was a bit oblivious at first. I knew they were scratching the catgirl's head but didn't think much more about it. So totally didn't notice why Courtney and Echo dashed out of the room so quickly. Until I was talking with the others and suddenly we hear...moaning and panting. And we all kinda just look at each other like "...O_O" and start talking louder, trying to drown it out. 'Cause...ew. EW! wtf. It was so disturbing. >> And the only reason we all stayed there was 'cause Corey couldn't move from her bed and we didn't really want to leave her alone with them. And the girl in charge of the rooms wasn't really telling them to stop...seemed to be encouraging them actually. x_x; But I was pretty glad when Echo called me to say that she was back at the hotel (she had walked Courtney to her bus) so me and Sharon dashed back out to escape. And I've been told it got worse after we left too. >>; And later realized that the catgirl was actually a "trap" which kinda added a whole new level of awkwardness to it all. ...ew.
Sharon and I met up with Echo to keep her company since she wasn't going to leave the con til around 5 or so. So we hung out and found a place to sit and talk for a while. Said goodbye to various people. Eventually it got late so Sharon and I both went back upstairs to get our own stuff while Echo guarded the couch we had taken up and took two trips to get all our stuff done. Luckily the catgirl was done when we got back up there. >>; Said goodbye to Corey and everyone and then sat with our stuff for a while until Echo left and then Sharon had to go and then it was just me waiting for my ride as my parents got a bit of a late start. Though luckily I noticed Link sitting nearby so had a rather nice chat with him til they got there and I went home. End con. XD
So all in all, another good con for me.
