commission: Chun Li

Chun Li from Street Fighter - commission for an online friend's gf.

The back, with "hidden" zipper (hey I tried) and snaps at the collar (which I forgot to snap close before this photo)

Seiran gets to sport the Bao-Bao for now. XD Hey he's sorta-Chinese so it works, right?

So I'm not really happy with how it came out myself. A lot of parts are annoying me but the customer loves it so that's all that matters I suppose. Lets just hope it fits ok. This is my first female costume commission after all. I've done dresses before but this was the first one without anyone to guide me and without the actual person in front of me to fit it to.

lol Well it took me the longest time to realize what you were talking about. For some reason I thought you meant the collar to be like a separate piece and snap on. Wasn't til I was doing this that I went "...oh. that's what he meant. Dur." And yeah decided back zipper instead of side as it was a bit funky with the sleeves. I was having a hard time getting the sleeve on with a side zipper. So was like "oh hell, I'll just give up and do it the "easy" way."

And I can think of a number of things you might be thinking of. >>; Like the fact it doesn't lay flat like at all! *rage* At least the front bit does lay flatter on a person than on the dressform. All my stuff seems to look wrinkly on the dressform and less so on a person. Don't know why. Especially since I adjusted the dressform to her size and all. And the front flap won't stay flat but once again looks better with legs behind it to support it up. (I think the lining didn't quite match up to the front flap, slightly shorter so its pulling, and I'd have to redo the trim and everything if I wanted to fix that and I don't want to do that T_T)

And there are some spots where the gold trim doesn't match up quite right. Etc, etc. lol Believe me I know every mistake on this thing and its driving me insane. To the point I was all ready to give them a discount for how bad it came out. But they love it. O_o; So far at least. Lets see if that changes when she gets it in person. >>; And oh god I think I might kill myself if it doesn't fit. *cry* I hate dresses!

Oh, lol XD Nah, its velcroed in the back so that's just me failing at lining it up correctly
