good old sewing machine

So I was wrong when I told people my sewing machine is about 10 years old.

...It's about 20 years old. XD

And yet works far better than most machines I've come across in the shops and at other people's houses.

Long live my Bernina! May you never die. For I shall cry. As they don't make machines like this one anymore.

Granted, it seems to be possessed now. >> The needle keeps moving back and forth on its own. Like it does when I switch stitches but it'll do it without me touching it. ...creepy.

Oh man you are so lucky! I had this one machine which was my mom's from the 90s, everything was tacky plastic. Like I would take away the bottom which had a small compartment for bobbins and feet, and it would just break apart. I have this new one and it's ok, but once in a while the tension gets messed up in the middle of whatever I'm sewing. I swear it likes to rip up my fabric. ;_;

I don't know about sewing machines, but I've got a camera from the 40's and it takes awesome photos. Pity that the film it uses is more expensive and tiresome to work with and lacks the photometer and other options. The normal camera I use is from the late 70's and I'm quite in love with it, really great thing. I bought this year a brand new digital reflex camera and I don't like it T_T. So I join the crowd:

VINTAGE QUALITY!!!

Yay, Berninas! Mine is from 1976 and it is an absolute tank and a dream to sew with. I only ever want to own Berninas. ^_^
