X-Japan

Yes, I have heard the news. I'm on two communities that posted it so I saw it twice.

I...I don't know what to think. I have very mixed feelings. I would've posted when I first saw it, but I had to go to class.

Just...an X-Japan reunion? Really? Heh. And also a rumor that Sugizo might be playing hide's part. Which...at least I'm glad its Sugizo as I don't think anyone else could do it but still...it still feels it wouldn't be the same.

I guess the other question is on if any of us here in the US would have a chance of seeing them. Or go there or something but I bet tickets would be insanely hard to get a hold of.

And is it bad that when I first heard the news, my immediate reaction was "Toshi you ass"? ^^;; Ah, anyways, going to take me quite a long time to figure out what I feel about this. Kinda similiar to my feelings on the Yoshiki/Gackt/Sugizo band thingy.

I'm really not sure how I feel about it either. ^^; Part of me feels excited, the other feels torn just because... I don't know, it's been so long and it won't feel like the same band without hide, even though I know there was X-Japan before him.

I had the same reaction reading the translation of his blog entry. XD;; But yeah.

Yeah...it really wouldn't be the same.

Ha, glad I'm not the only one then. XP

Wait, I have not heard this. @__@ What's going on?! They're getting back together? O_o Is this a one-time event, or are they like, starting up again?

I think its just a one time reunion tour, not that they're getting back together. Since its like a 10th year reunion thingy. Its on both the X-Japan and hide communities for Toshi's blog entry.

Ahh, man, wow. O_o I don't know how I feel about that. @.@

I'm not entirely sure how I feel about this either, because in my mind, while the sentiment is nice, I think I prefer the impression their Last Live left on me instead of possible future disappointments. Then again, if hide were still alive, I'd be cheering them on nonstop, so I have definite personal bias.
I worry Yoshiki can't drum at the same level he used to, I guess. I don't mind Yoshiki working with Gackt, but that in itself is by no means an alternative to X...and Sugizo, well I respect Sugizo enough to see him substitute for hide on the guitar, but it's not the same thing regardless. Toshi's announcement was definitely the most bizarre of all; to him, I don't know what to say. o.O

Yeah, I feel pretty much the same on that.

And definitly agree on the Yoshiki drum thing, especially after seeing him at Otakon and seeing how bad his wrists have gotten. He has to wear his bracers like almost all the time now.

Yeah, I think Toshi bewildered us all with his casual response. o_o;

An X=japan reunion? That's made of epic fail.
What the fuck is Yoshiki thinking? He needs to settle down, take a rest and enjoy the rest of his life. He sure has enough money to do so.

I'm pretty sure its just a one time deal. A reunion tour thing. 'Cause its been 10 years since the band broke up. The really "wtf" part of it is the fact that we found out about it from Toshi's blog, of all places, 'cause he seemed calm and fine with doing it and its just like....I don't know. Weird, ya know?

Yeah, Yoshiki's arthritis(sp) will probably prevent him from playing the way he used to play and really, I'm wondering if this is probably going to be bad for his health. Yet I know he'd probably mess himself up for the sake of music and all. Workaholic that he is.
