Yeah, the thing with Angeal bothered me too. Meant to mention him in that too but I was so focused on Genesis, I forgot. ^^; Though I'm almost more willing to accept Angeal's character because the idea of Zack having a mentor makes sense (even though once again it took away from Zack's glory a little as in fandom we had all believed he got that high on his own and they even kinda took away the whole idea of Zack being Seph's 2nd in general in CC, or at least that's how I felt at times) but I didn't like the fact they gave him a wing at all. And somehow it didn't really seem to work for his character. Felt odd.
Well the thing is, while Cloud was in fact outside and wouldn't remember that anyways, we see Zack's memory of it. And I believe that even though Cloud's mind is messed up, that when he sees Zack's memories, those are actually intact because there's no way Cloud could have known any of those parts so its not just him basing what happened on what he saw. Its him actually somehow having Zack's memories inside. Which of course they never explain how he has them so at least that is always left up to fandom. But yeah that's just Square grasping at straws, trying to make their new ideas connect when we all know they never had plans for those characters in the beginning.
Oh I totally forgot to mention Last Order in this! Which really made no sense. lol Especially how the end made it seem like it was the Turks that killed Zack. O_o; And not just Seph jumping into the mako but also Cloud's eyes glowing pre-mako-experiment? Ummm. Seriously, what were they doing there? lol
Yeah, I figure most people who like Genesis don't know about the Gackt thing so thus are able to like him because they just see him as a new character. Which is fine. I wish I could think that way. XD; As I do like some aspects of him. Just I can't see around it no matter what I do.
But oh, I've actually been rather happy (and surprised actually) by the fact I've run into so many of you younger fans who aren't raving idiots. lol As I actually was lurking on purpose. Been like that for a few years now. Would look at the occasional fanfic that had potential, but usually kept away from the majority of the community. Even avoided FF gatherings at cons for the longest time. So I kinda went oh a whim when I made that post on the friending meme. Honestly I expected the majority to be like "omg who is this bitch?" since I was pretty blunt in my views so the amount of responses I got really shocked me and made me have actual hope for this fandom after all. That and there has been quite a lot of decent fanfics surfacing in the last year or so that make me happy as I thought that had died out.
