Cosplay 30 Days - Day 14

I used to listen to A LOT of music while I sewed. To have something in the background and something that wouldn't be too distracting. Been doing that since I first started and all throughout college and well up until last year really. 'Cause it was getting to the point where I was battling my music with Mom's little radio in her room, the radio (on a different station usually) upstairs, and sometimes Dad's laptop and it was beginning to drive my senses nuts. But I still needed something on in the background.
So I decided to try what most of my cosplay pals do and put the TV on while I sew but just made sure it was always something I didn't have to pay much attention to. Something that wouldn't distract me. So this resulted in a lot of Logo playing at first. XD Mostly the Buffy re-runs. Then discovered Nick Toons' Avatar hours and started finally watching that as luckily it turned out to be something I didn't really have to look at the screen to be able to know what was going on (though as a result, I haven't actually SEEN most of the show, just HEARD it several hundred times lmao). And then Doctor Who became another addition to this once I discovered we had BBC-America. I'll also put on movies I've watched a million times over. These are usually my last resorts when I need to keep myself awake late at night and there's nothing else on though.
But its kinda crazy. I used to NEVER watch TV and now I have it on pretty much all the time while I work on things. Kinda rely on it now to help me. Which is just so strange as it used to only distract me but I guess I've learned what to watch and how to use it to my advantage. Though I still go to my music when I'm more in the mood for it or there's nothing on and I don't feel like putting any DVDs on.
Also I'll note that I've learned I can't talk on the phone. AT ALL. When I work on things. Else it results in me sewing something on backwards. lol Even when I'm just doing something simple and mind numbing...I've discovered that I'm A LOT slower at it if I'm talking. ...yet I sometimes do it anyways if someone calls as I don't get much chance to talk and as we all know...I'm ALWAYS sewing. XDXD
