LJ ate my entry. XP Bah at it.
The Drag Pageant went very very well. It was awesome! Very good turn-out. In fact, we ran out of seats so some people had to stand, including me since I gave up my seat since I'm on staff and all. Though all I did staff-wise was usher. ^^; But it gave me an excuse to get dressed up. I didn't bind or anything. Just wore my white dress shirt, black pants, top hat, black tye, and leather jacket but yet I got compliments on looking very good like that. I think the shorter hair is most definitly a better look for me as it makes me look more adrogynous now.
Anyways, Suzanne, one of my hallmates, won Best Drag King. She impersonated John Lennon and sang Imagine, which was very awesome. And the Best Drag Queen was someone I don't know the real name of but his stage name was Kitty Litter. 'Nuff said. XP And Patrick, our STARS president was absolutely fabulous with his dress changes between every act. I especially loved his Polish Beer Wrench outfit.
Everyone that performed was totally fabulous. Thats the only word that can describe it. Gabi and I already got ideas for next year too as we both decided we have to be in it next time. We even have a possible song to do a routine to. Just need a 3rd person if we want to do the 3-part harmony in it.
We've been watching more Read or Die lately, which is much fun. And Jeremy introduced us to Twelve Kingdoms, which is a little weird but still pretty good. I'm definitly intrigued enough to watch more of it. And today we introduced the Anime Club to Last Exile, which they all seemed to enjoy. Success! Especially with a lot of them going to Katsucon, I thought it was a perfect opportunity since Range Murata will be there and many peeps need to go to his panel and whatnot and I need to find something for him to sign. *_*
Squee. I might have my first few comissions next year as some of my friends have said they would indeed pay me to make them costumes. ^^ Mostly for my FMA group for Otakon that I'm trying to arrange though I don't know if I can make that many uniforms. x_x; That sounds like a lot of work. At least Tom thinks he might just want to be Ed and Ed's costume is pretty simple (minus the metal stuff, of course XP). But it makes me happy that people actually think I'm good enough to pay to make stuff now. ^_^ Thus another reason why I can't wait for Thanksgiving so I can stock up on fabric and start early on my new projects.
Welp, now I can goof off for a bit until Lindsey comes back on campus so I can get Econ. notes from her so I can do the homework since I missed class on Friday. I forgot to turn my alarm on so I didn't wake up in time. x_x;
