parents' weekend

The sewing machine is here! Rejoice! ....er at least I shall rejoice! XP I can finally get stuff done...once I finish my essays that is. x_x; But next weekend I'm definently starting work on the cosplay-ness. And I think after Neko, I'm going to get a head start on my Katsu stuff.

So yeah, the parents came down for the weekend and thus I haven't gotten very much studying done. But alas it was raining all day today and so there wasn't much to do except drive around Solomon's Island and look at the stuff we could've been doing if it wasn't raining.

But I ate off campus! Yay! I had my beloved cheddar potato soup at Bob Evans for lunch and then had this really awesome seafood platter at some cool seafood restaurant for dinner.

Kinda sad that I missed the cardboard boat race...but it was raining and I didn't really want to stand out in the rain just to watch them.

And the parents showed me where all the stores are in this area and so I definently gotta find one of my car-owning friends to take me back there again sometime because thank god, there's a JoAnns here and right now a really big Halloween store as well. I already did some shopping there today. *happiness*
