RIP needles
Oct. 28th, 2006 01:32 amToday we mourn the loss of not just one needle...but three. All died in the line of battle with the evil collar. They served a righteous fight but their lives were lost in the process. >>; All because of the collar.
Fucking collar! Thank god its done at least. Though it doesn't look the way I wanted it to look at all. -_-;; The rest of the costume shouldn't be as difficult. It was just the fact that it was two layers of suede, a layer of interfacing, and a few folds of casa sateen. And I lost two of the needles trying to sew trim on top of all of this and the other while doing some embroidery around one of the circles. I decided to embroider the rest by hand, which was painful but the fabric was just too thick for my needles to take. ;_; And now I'm like really low on needles, goddamn...
And its still not that far into this costume! Ahh! I really just hope I won't have any other spots of multiple layers. So glad I decided not to give this thing a lining.
But tomorrow Magenta is coming down. ^^ We didn't really plan this, it was more of a spontaneous thing with me figuring out how to get her down here before she even knew when she could come down. I think she expected Sun afternoon but I was totally implying tomorrow morning. XP So yes. Probably not the best idea for my studies but its not a busy week for me so I should be fine. Though it might hurt my Abel progress. Ah well. Rather take it slow with this one anyways.
