tumblr frustration
Feb. 25th, 2012 04:30 pmSomething I've found really annoying about tumblr is the limits of searching on there...and the fact that some posts just magically disappear in the tags.
Katsucon Friday night Ren is searching through the "katsucon" tag on tumblr via her Kindle Fire and finds a photo posted of my mini Angel Sanctuary group. Now I'm like half-dead a this point so didn't get a really good look at it so don't even know if it was any good or not. Unlike the rest of the world, I don't have any internet-savy devices on me during con so I had no way of saving the link or liking it on my tumblr.
So I decide to go look through the tag after the con to see if I can find that post again. Well...a billion posts later...I finally finish going through the entire tag up through Thurs night annnnnnd no sign of said photo. O_O Where did it go?! Super frustrating as I had to spend kinda a ridiculous amount of time scrolling through the tag and it was loading pretty slow by the end due to the massive amount of photos on the same page. I also stupidly did a quick search through the tag right after the con and did see another photo of us briefly but for some stupid reason I didn't think to save it and now I can't find that one either! O_o (And I know its a diff one than the one Ren found as I remember the description on it). X_X
Just annoying 'cause I know neither photo was anything spectacular but due to me not feeling well I wasn't in Lucifer for very long and we didn't get that many photos so it's still nice to find the few that do exist and I haven't seen any in all the photo searches I've done on people's links that have been posted on cosplay.com and such. Booo. And well really I just wanted to find the one Ren found more for the description than the photo itself. "That's one hell of a family portrait." 'Cause I thought it was clever and made me smile (and I doubt the person taking the photo knows the irony of the statement).
But yeeaaaaah I wish there was at least like a feature where you can search by date. Or like search tags within tags to narrow it down a little. I dislike how things someone posted can get lost in the massive amount so easily. T_T;
