Crisis Core update #2

rose_of_painOMG, I love this game! *_*
Lots of things have happened since my last post on it. I'm now on mission 7 and I believe there is only a total of 10 chapters. Ah man, that means I'm not that far from beating it. ;_; Granted these chapters all take quite a long time. They're not like the much shorter chapters in Dirge.
But yes, this update includes Turks, Aeris, Cloud (squee), Chocobo Karate Kick!, a rather depressing scene....and Zack in swimming trunks beating up enemies with an umbrella (and no I'm not joking XP)...
Hm, well going all the way back to like....chapter 4. We have a cameo by Reno and Rude. Then we get to meet one of the Turks from Before Crisis. The girl who's weapon looks kinda like Axel's. She has a name! Its Cissnei (or something like that). I don't have much of an opinion of her but she's not bad. I'm just amazed that she has a name now. XP
We also have this amazing flashback scene. Sephiroth is talking to Zack and tells him about how Angeal and Genesis used to train with him. And then you get this nice high quality 5 minute long scene of the three of them fighting that was pretty badass! And I swore Sephiroth is smiling in the begining and the most sane smile we've ever seen from him. o_o Well, more like a smirk but still, thats pretty big for him. XP
Chapter 5...Aeris! Such a cute chapter. Shows how Aeris and Zack meet and guess how that happened...>>; Zack fell through the roof of the church. x_x;;; But you also have this really cute scene where like Zack buys her the pink ribbon we're so used to seeing in her hair. So Zack gave that to her. ^^ Aww!
Angeal shows up and can't seem decide if he's good or evil, keeps changing sides back and forth. O_o Ends up helping Zack at times, but at other times opposing him. Still a bit confused on what Angeal was doing. But I did rather like when he gave Zack a lift. XP Grabbed Zack and flew up. Does this more than once and I gotta admit, its making me kinda like the Angeal/Zack pairing idea. XP
Chapter 6...CLOUD! Eeee! I squeed! He's sooooo cute! ^_^ The first meeting between Cloud and Zack is so insanely cute in my opinion. Cloud's even laughing! o_o He's on a mission with Zack and Tseng though he doesn't really do much in it. But nice to see him finally. ^_^
But then the chapter gets rather depressing. First you run into Genesis who's all deteroiating and you fight him and he "dies" (doubt that). And then you run into Angeal and he's all "rawr, I'm a monster, blah blah blah" even though Zack keeps trying to tell him "no, you're not ;_;!" but he refuses to listen to you and ends up merging with all these clones of his (yeah, there are clones up the wazoo in this game of both Genesis and Angeal) and then really does turn into a monster. x_x And you have to fight him...and its depressing. And...he dies...and Zack cries. ;____; Though Aeris wrapping her arms around Zack while he's crying was really cute.
And then it goes forward in time, no idea how long exactly but at least a few months I assume 'cause now Zack's hair is longer and he just looks a bit older in general. Like in the begining of the game he's got this cute more happy-go-lucky look to him with a shorter hairstyle. And now he's got the hairstyle more like his hair in FF7 (at least now it finally makes sense why we keep seeing him with different hairstyles, it wasn't them screwing with us, it was done on purpose XP). He also has a scar on his face which I totally forgot that Zack had a scare. Welp, he got it during the Angeal fight. ;_; Angeal also gave him the Buster Sword so now Zack has it and is all badass and training SOLDIERs and grunts now.
Then a little into chapter 7...which starts at Costa del Sol with Zack on vacation. XP He's in swimming trunks! Shirtless Zack! XP But he can't even relax there as he gets attacked by Genesis clones. But he doesn't have his sword so....he uses a beach umbrella. XPXP You actually get to beat them up with the umbrella. Its actually really really fun and amusing. XP Especially as it does a lot of damage. And then I stopped after that for now.
Also, its really hard to get the summons in this game. I have yet to actually summon one of them even though I now have both Ifrit and Bahamut in my DMV. You first have to beat them in the gameplot and you get the summon materia but you can't actually equip it like you could in FF7. You then have to go into your Missions and go through a bunch til you've beaten the summons in several rounds before they're actually added to your DMV. And then even after that, only occasionaly do they come up and instead of the usual slot machine, its one just for the summons and I have yet to actually match any of them up since you have to do all 3 slots instead of just the middle slot. x_x;; Though even if you don't get one, it still will do a really big nice attack so thats handy at least.
And then there are these other sorta summons that you can receive through missions. Like I was doing this one where I realized I was at the Chocobo Farm. XP And then at the end Yuffie showed up and was stealing this treasure before I could get it and after that she periodically shows up. XP But anyways, my reward for that mission was the Chocobo summon! And it just randomly shows up in your fights every so often and its so silly. XP Like it will interupt your DMV slot machine and suddenly the Chocobo will run across the DMV scene and the DMV will just be of the chocobo and its pretty easy to match him up. And if you do...you get....the CHOCOBO KARATE KICK!! XP
Its like you see Zack trotting all casually and then the Chocobo is trotting beside him and then they jump into the air and come crashing down with a mighty kick on their enemies. XPXP Its so cute and silly and hilarious.
And now I shall ponder if I should play more or go do something else for a change...>>;; Hmm....*fingers twitch in direction of PSP*
