AnimeNEXT 2008 report

rose_of_painOk, finally getting around to writing this. Going to try to make it not too long. More pictures and less talking, right? XP
The con was a lot of fun due to the people, as usual. Wasn't too impressed with the con itself though. The changes were odd and I was annoyed with a lot of the younger crowd there. They were more obnoxious and rude than normal in my opinion. Also I ran into more annoying and creepy guys than any other con before. They wouldn't leave me alone. ;_; But besides that, the con was great.
Thursday night was spent picking Jes up and bringing her back to our house and chilling out with her for a bit. We were both pretty tired for no real reason though. I finished packing and told her stories of old cons, Animazement 2004 in particular. We went to bed early (and by early I mean shortly after midnight) since we had to get up early for the trip.
Friday:
Had a bit of a late start due to Mom taking forever to get ready (which happens pretty much every time I've gone a trip with my parents, I knew I should've set a time an hour early just so she'd actually be ready x_x;;). But we made good timing driving wise and got there around 1 so it wasn't too bad. Parents dropped Jes and I off and we checked into our room (yay, I was so afraid it'd be like '06 when they wouldn't let us check in until 2 or 3 or whatever it was). Our room was smaller than what we had wanted but the hotel gave us a discount so that was really cool. Gotta say the Hyatt Place people were a lot nicer than the Amerisuite people were (which is what the hotel used to be). And somehow we managed to figure out how to get all 9 of us situated comfortably. Both Jes and I were being pretty lazy and not feeling all that like we were at a con though. lol I forced myself into costume to get a move on. Put Izumi on which is a costume I haven't worn since 2005 but its one of my better made costumes (I forgot how nicely made it was so kept admiring my own stitches while I wore it, lol) and headed to pre-reg. Saw Sarah there but couldn't really talk to her long since she was working. Boo.
It looks so much better with the Ruthberg wig. I sold the old wig I used to wear with it.
After getting my badge, headed into the Dealer's Room. I was glad there was no waiting line this year but the set up did massively confuse me. I kept trying to enter in the wrong way. Good thing Jes was there as I kept being really out of it. First I tried to enter the exit, then almost entered the exit of Sasusaga's booth, then dropped my key card when I took my wallet out (and only Jes noticed), then forgot to take my bag of manga after I bought them. x_x;;; Thank you Jes for dealing with my oddness during all of that. lol We made two rounds on the Dealer's Room and this was like the 4th con in a row where I really didn't find much I wanted. So I just got the manga I was looking for: Trinity Blood vol. 10 and Ludwig Kakumei vol. 4, and then bought one of the FF4 figurines. I got Kain on the first try! So happy! I checked out the Rentrer en Soi stuff but was way turned off by that deal. I don't like the changes and I'm guessing its gong to be this way every time a band comes now. -_- Not happy. Basically you had to buy one of the CDs to get an autograph and the t-shirt to get the photo (or was it the other way around?) and both were like $30 so you had to spend $60 on something that used to cost us only $5 (or sometimes $15-30 if one didn't have official merchandise for them to sign). And they don't even have the polaroid anymore. You have to give them your camera. So I was like "I'm not doing that..." I just can't afford to spend that much money on something like that. I will only do that if its like Versailles or X or something...
Met up with Magenta who was wearing Junpei at the time. Hung around the con center and talked to various cosplayers for a while before heading back to the room, dropped my stuff off, played with the dolls for a little bit, and eventually got into Fai.
Look at all the dolls. XP There was more in the room but I didn't want to take Ginny's out without her physically being there and Dani and Dar hadn't arrived with their's yet. I once again failed to take a picture of them all together. Haha, poor Luci was the only full sized one.
I tried to go to the CLAMP photoshoot but it like didn't happen or something. XP Oh well. In fact there was a general lack of any CLAMP characters at this con. I kept looking for Tsubasa peeps and there like wasn't any. ;_; It made me sad. Though this con lacked in cosplayers in general. I felt really old as there were so many young kids running around and I'm like only 22. I should not be feeling old this early on! I also started feeling really light-headed when I got into costume and it just would not go away...started feeling very very dizzy. So Jes, Magenta, and I went to go eat. Oh my god. That subway sandwich never tasted so good. As soon as I got it down, I felt so much better. So I just need to remember that I can't do the not-eating thing at cons anymore like I used to. After that the three of us just wandered around aimlessly.
One of the few photos that turned out alright of me in Fai with the better wig and full bling. Sadly one of the wings on my necklace broke off and I lost it but that won't be hard to remake.

At some point we met the cosaru girls who were insanely adorable! Omg, I was going to get a cavity. They have very limited english but we still managed to talk with them a lot over the course of the con. Cosaru herself (the one in the blue lolita dress) really wanted photos of the DOD group on Sat so we arranged a time and all with her.
Friday was pretty uneventful though for the most part. Anita showed up and Magenta finally got into her room while I got out of costume and Jes attached herself to the couch. I headed out around 7pm to get into the concert line for Rentrer en Soi. The line just started forming when I got there so got a pretty good spot in line (I didn't really want to spend the money on the VIP pass). Though sadly most of my friends had VIP passes so I was sitting there by myself for a pretty long time until Magenta came over to join me. I did see Dani and Dar when they came down after parking their car. lol They had taken a bet on how far they would get before someone spotted and recognized them. So I was the first to spot them, only a few minutes after they parked. XP Haha. Its only because my spot in line was right next to the stairwell. But anyways, after about an hour or two of listening to the idiots around me, we finally got to go in. Got to be right up against the tape dividing us from the VIP people. XP Saw Nami and Tara and them all and yelled at them for being VIP losers. XPXP
The concert was about 80% their new heavy metal stuff which I don't like as much as their older stuff so that was a bit disapointing. It wasn't really bad but its just odd to hear Satsuki screaming like that. I mean the whole point I like the band is because they sounded like Baiser and thats one of my favorite J-Rock bands ever. Satsuki has such a pretty voice too. But thank god they did at least several old songs including Last World, Secret Scars (I think? I can't remember...), and Photoplasm. There were a few others that sounded familar but I can't remember what ones they were. The concert seemed to go on forever though...I guess I would've enjoyed it more if they did more of the older songs but I frankly got a bit bored. That and there was this really really smelly annoying guy behind me that kept swinging this dirty rag over my head and I could feel his crotch getting obnoxiously close to me...>>;; I kept trying to elbow him but he always managed to move out of the way right before my elbow landed. Damn. So that was creepy guy #1.
After the concert I hung out outside for a bit with Magenta but then it started raining so we headed to the Hyatt. Dani, Steve, Ginny, and Monty were just about to go out in Bleach costumes as it was pouring. lol Felt bad for them. Hope they didn't get too wet. Meanwhile we went to the room above us where Nami, Tara, Ashley, Alyssa, Marissa, Scout, Victoria, and uh, crap, I can never remember her name! Started with a G... were staying. Chilled out with Alyssa on the couch and a good time was had by all. Some random guy in the hall offered Nami and Magenta candy and they...took it. Which led the rest of us to be all "you actually took candy from a stranger? XP". And I also somehow managed to leave without actually leaving? Which led to the joke of "Didn't you see? Lyn left. Lyn is not here." "No, I am not here. I've been gone for hours. Geez." Which you really had to be there to understand. I think it started with Marissa not paying attention. She was pretty out of it in general that night though. They all decided to pass out early so I went back up to my room and chilled with peeps up there until we all eventually passed out. And Dani slept with one of the judges. >P Oh my! Paul, who I met for the first time and is an awesome guy, was in our room and Dani slept in between him and Steve and so that's what started the joke since Paul was in fact one of the Craftsman judges for the Masquerade. He was awesome though and I really want to see the Lunar skit he did at AMA now.
Saturday:
The big day. Full of lots of DOD-ness. Yes, I cosplayed a freaking doll. XP Got up pretty early. Not really sure why though. lol And very slowly got into costume. While waiting for Hall to open up, ran into creepy guys #2 and 3. Who just randomly started talking with us and like even sat down and I'm like "oh god..." and found some random excuse to go wandering just to get away from them. The one guy was really sketchy looking. Entered Hall with Ana and Stef which luckily took nowhere as long as last year even if it did seem like they got our entries a little mixed up and we probably should've gone earlier than we did. We talked with Victoria, Scout, and Vicky while there. And a little bit with Greg who came in shortly before our turn. After judging, we went behind the Holiday Inn to get foodage. And along the way I found Ray which was awesome. He hung out with us most of Saturday in fact. It was really cool finally getting to spend time with him. ^^ And I finally got my Shaka figure he got me.
The Dream of Doll group. Me as Elf Kirill, Magenta as Elf Ivan, Ana as Elf Ducan (holding my Elf Ducan), and Stef as Elf I-Ra. I was surprised how many people actually knew who we were.
After eating we went back to my room to relax for a little before going to the doll meet but then I get called by both Alyssa and Stef at the same time saying that they had to move from the Embassy so I waited a bit to find out where they were going. Meanwhile cosaru calls us about the photoshoot and we're like "oh crap!" so as everyone is making their way to the Hyatt for the doll meet-up to be moved there, we're going the opposite direction to meet cosaru. lol Luckily she was fine about waiting and headed over to the Hyatt with us and took a lot of photos. I can't wait to see them. She was so nice too. Ray also got a bunch for us as well. I didn't really do much at the doll meet since I was too preoccupied with photos. Even handed Lucifer to Alyssa for her to take care of while we did so. ^^;; Didn't even bother bringing the other boys downstairs. Thus I have no photos from the meet and didn't even meet anyone there. Oh well, there will be other doll meets.

Well after that, Stef was dying in her outfit so her and Ana decided to go home and change. And just as well as I was dying in mine (it may look comfy but its not!) and getting annoyed that my fake nails kept coming off. Ugh. So was fine with getting out of the outfit and just relaxed for a little bit in the room, talking with everyone who was in there at the time. Of course most of them were rushing around getting ready for the skit so I stayed out of the way and helped whoever I could. Then it was just Steve and I so took my time getting into Cloud and chatted a little with him. Headed out to the FF gathering but Starwind, Carrie, and Greg didn't show up which was the only reason I went. XP Oh well. I did pose for a little bit with the FF7 people but was a bit disappointed at the fact they kept being like "omg, its regular Cloud, haven't seen one of those in ages!" and I'm like "um...I'm not...ugh -_-;" Crisis Core doesn't look anything like regular Cloud, what are these people smoking? And it was sad how I was like the only non Advent Children FF7 person there. Meh. So as soon as Ray came over I decided to go chill with him instead and we sat in the shade for a while since it was way too hot in the sun. Then Ling, Mimi, Jin, and Jacquie showed up so went over there with Ray and Magenta. And hung most of the afternoon with them. Anita and Kevin (who I met for the first time) were there as well and we were in the con center for a little bit but then went off to take photos and hang out behind the Holiday Inn...which is pretty much where I spent most of my Saturday. lol On the way there though I ran into creepy guy #2 again who took my photo but he like asked me for it when I was in the road and I'm like "uh, I don't want to get hit, please wait for me to get on the sidewalk, thank you..."
They were taking Persona 3 photos and I think Ray went off to some panel or something at this point before he left. I chilled on a bench with Jacquie while they did so. Then I finally saw some Tales of the Abyss cosplayers while waiting there. A Tear and Sync to be exact so Magenta and I started talking to them and ended up talking for a pretty long time with them. The Tear was really awesome and we shared contact info and such. Hopefully she'll be at Otakon for our Tales stuff.

After they left, I rejoined the rest of the gang who were still taking photos and stuff. Alyssa and Tina came over and we talked to them and I sat down next to Kevin and discovered he's a bit Kaori Yuki fan! o_o So that made me very happy! XP Haha. Man, I met a lot of really cool people at this con which makes me happy. We also saw Grace, Magenta's friend from when she worked at GameStop who I met back when I went to NYC in December. She was dressed as Tifa so she spazzed a little when she saw me wearing Cloud. It was cute. XP Eventually Ling and co. had to leave though since Jacquie still had to drive them elsewhere. Though it took forever for them to actually leave. lol We kept getting stopped by other people including Sarah (who I finally got to see again! Man Sarah, when you work at a con I like don't see you at all! Lame!). But when we were talking to some folks...enter creepy guy #4! All I saw was this lightsaber loaming over me and I slowly turn and I think I actually jumped and went "eeep!" because there was this REALLY bad and ugly Sephiroth looking at me being all "haha, I'm killing Cloud". x_x It creeped me out sooooo much. Ughugh. Though luckily he went away. I was afraid he was going to try to talk to me. And then soon after Carrie and Greg came by and I was like "! I finally find you guys!" So I finally got another Cloud "before and after" photo with Greg like we did back at Nekocon '04. Haha XP
I look so short next to him! XPXP And Carrie is so cute. Then while in the Holiday Inn saw Starwind but he was no longer in Zack. Oh well. lol
Went back to my room with Magenta, Anita, and Kevin. Changed into regular clothes while chatting with them, grabbed the dolls and headed over to their room for a while. We were going to do some doll photostories but like usual I couldn't come up with anything. lol So instead just took a few photos and chilled with Anita and Kevin. Anita did really accurate tarot card readings which impressed me greatly considering I had just met her. And we ordered Chinese food. I was going to go to sneak into the Masquerade to see Ginny and Monty's skit and Nami and Tara's half time show...but I looked at the clock and realized there was no way I would get over there in time. And I was really hungry so I voted on food instead. Sorry guys! ;_; Well as a result I wasn't there to hear the award announced. lol Neither were Stef and Ana. We fail. XP After food Magenta got into rave Youji and I went to my room and changed into rave Seimei.
Yes, that means I actually went to the rave. For the first time ever. Nekocon doesn't count because all I did was go in and stand to the side watching people for a little bit. Why did I go? 'Cause Nami, Tara, Magenta, etc. really wanted me to go with them and had that whole rave Loveless idea. Well when we got there they were already there so Magenta had to lead me in through the people and I...freaked out. lol I just am not a rave person and there were too many people. And while waiting outside, I encountered...creepy guy #5! A guy who was like "...kitty!" and had a "Catboys rule" shirt on. -_-; I knew where this was going. This is why I was so hesitant to do Loveless cosplay originally and why I only do it with others around me. And I couldn't just leave because I didn't want the others to miss me. Luckily eventually I was saved and I tried to go back into the rave but didn't work that time either but then they were all coming outside for fresh air anyways. And Alyssa was there and so I talked with her for a bit while Tina and Magenta got drinks in Tina's room. So finally got my time with Alyssa (when the con's almost over, I r lame x_x;;). Then finally actually successfully got into the rave now that I was in a bigger group. And I did stay...even if I felt lame. Also Angie was there so she joined us. She kept having creepy guys come up to her to ask to dance when she kept telling them no. XP
So yeah...Seimei can't rave and Soubi totally wins in that department. XP Though I did get my promised lapdance from Ritsuka at least. XP So I did have fun and well I think I would've been sad if I hadn't gone in just 'cause everyone was in there at the time and I had no idea where all the peeps in my room were since they weren't there when I was in there. But...I don't think I'll be doing anymore raves in the future. Just not for me. -_-;
Here's the only proof that I actually did go. I look so blah though. lol Probably because I was pretty "blah" at the time. lol
Eventually went back to the room and everyone else was already in bed so I had to work my way around to get into pjs and back on the air mattress with Mandi. Lately each con it seems I'm always the last one to get back to the room at Saturday which is so odd to me. XP
Sunday:
Woke up and we all lazed about for quite a while just chatting. Gradually started packing and Alyssa called and came up and hung with us for a while. Took out some of the dolls for a bit and talked about them. Eventually we all finished packing and Jes and I put our stuff in Dar's car for the time being. Then headed to the Dealer's Room with Magenta and Alyssa for a bit but there really wasn't anything I wanted and ended up losing Alyssa in there. Called Josh to figure out how to pick up the hall award and met up with both Ray and Tear from Sat. Got ice cream and we all just hung out on the really weird bleachers for a bit. Didn't cosplay at all since I figured it would be easier that way since I had to go back home with my parents and all.
Met up with Dar, Jes, and Laura (omg finally saw Laura! well actually saw her for a bit on Sat...but still). And then we found Ana, Stef, and Dani. And we all headed out for lunch. Well then Ray and Tear had to go so said goodbye to them. And Magenta got her luggage and went back to NYC with Anita and Kevin. Also said goodbye to Alyssa and Marissa. So this is why it took me so long to actually get to Uno's where we were going to eat. Since I kept having to say goodbye to people. XP By the time I got there, my parents had arrived and so they decided to eat there too separately while our big group got served. While we ate, Jezeroth came over which was the first time I saw him the whole con. XP And my camera got passed around so there were lots of silly photos taken.

Unfortunantly desert took a long time to come to us along with our check and so my parents had to wait around a bit. So Jes and I had to dash out, saying goodbye to everyone and then going to get our stuff out of Dar's car and into my parents'. Then took the 4 hours back to MD which I spent finishing the TB novel I was reading (just in time since the next one is out now, must get it!) and reading more Cantarella. Then it stormed like as soon as we got to the meeting spot with Jes' Mom so we had to run out in the ran and quickly get her stuff into her Mom's car. Her Mom was like "Hugs and kisses! Bye!" XP Since it was raining too hard to actually properly say goodbye. Oh well. I love Jes' Mom though. XP She amuses me greatly. We decided to eat at Bob Evan's since we were already wet from the rain and then we headed back home to find out my brother had not come to the house to check our mail and feed my cat...at all. All weekend. My poor kitty! ;_;

She was pretty out of it in general that night though. They all decided to pass out early so I went back up to my room and chilled with peeps up there until we all eventually passed out. And Dani slept with one of the judges. >P Oh my! Paul, who I met for the first time and is an awesome guy, was in our room and Dani slept in between him and Steve and so that's what started the joke since Paul was in fact one of the Craftsman judges for the Masquerade. He was awesome though and I really want to see the Lunar skit he did at AMA now.
Saturday:
The big day. Full of lots of DOD-ness. Yes, I cosplayed a freaking doll. XP Got up pretty early. Not really sure why though. lol And very slowly got into costume. While waiting for Hall to open up, ran into creepy guys #2 and 3. Who just randomly started talking with us and like even sat down and I'm like "oh god..." and found some random excuse to go wandering just to get away from them. The one guy was really sketchy looking. Entered Hall with Ana and Stef which luckily took nowhere as long as last year even if it did seem like they got our entries a little mixed up and we probably should've gone earlier than we did. We talked with Victoria, Scout, and Vicky while there. And a little bit with Greg who came in shortly before our turn. After judging, we went behind the Holiday Inn to get foodage. And along the way I found Ray which was awesome. He hung out with us most of Saturday in fact. It was really cool finally getting to spend time with him. ^^ And I finally got my Shaka figure he got me.
The Dream of Doll group. Me as Elf Kirill, Magenta as Elf Ivan, Ana as Elf Ducan (holding my Elf Ducan), and Stef as Elf I-Ra. I was surprised how many people actually knew who we were.
After eating we went back to my room to relax for a little before going to the doll meet but then I get called by both Alyssa and Stef at the same time saying that they had to move from the Embassy so I waited a bit to find out where they were going. Meanwhile cosaru calls us about the photoshoot and we're like "oh crap!" so as everyone is making their way to the Hyatt for the doll meet-up to be moved there, we're going the opposite direction to meet cosaru. lol Luckily she was fine about waiting and headed over to the Hyatt with us and took a lot of photos. I can't wait to see them. She was so nice too. Ray also got a bunch for us as well. I didn't really do much at the doll meet since I was too preoccupied with photos. Even handed Lucifer to Alyssa for her to take care of while we did so. ^^;; Didn't even bother bringing the other boys downstairs. Thus I have no photos from the meet and didn't even meet anyone there. Oh well, there will be other doll meets.

Well after that, Stef was dying in her outfit so her and Ana decided to go home and change. And just as well as I was dying in mine (it may look comfy but its not!) and getting annoyed that my fake nails kept coming off. Ugh. So was fine with getting out of the outfit and just relaxed for a little bit in the room, talking with everyone who was in there at the time. Of course most of them were rushing around getting ready for the skit so I stayed out of the way and helped whoever I could. Then it was just Steve and I so took my time getting into Cloud and chatted a little with him. Headed out to the FF gathering but Starwind, Carrie, and Greg didn't show up which was the only reason I went. XP Oh well. I did pose for a little bit with the FF7 people but was a bit disappointed at the fact they kept being like "omg, its regular Cloud, haven't seen one of those in ages!" and I'm like "um...I'm not...ugh -_-;" Crisis Core doesn't look anything like regular Cloud, what are these people smoking? And it was sad how I was like the only non Advent Children FF7 person there. Meh. So as soon as Ray came over I decided to go chill with him instead and we sat in the shade for a while since it was way too hot in the sun. Then Ling, Mimi, Jin, and Jacquie showed up so went over there with Ray and Magenta. And hung most of the afternoon with them. Anita and Kevin (who I met for the first time) were there as well and we were in the con center for a little bit but then went off to take photos and hang out behind the Holiday Inn...which is pretty much where I spent most of my Saturday. lol On the way there though I ran into creepy guy #2 again who took my photo but he like asked me for it when I was in the road and I'm like "uh, I don't want to get hit, please wait for me to get on the sidewalk, thank you..."
They were taking Persona 3 photos and I think Ray went off to some panel or something at this point before he left. I chilled on a bench with Jacquie while they did so. Then I finally saw some Tales of the Abyss cosplayers while waiting there. A Tear and Sync to be exact so Magenta and I started talking to them and ended up talking for a pretty long time with them. The Tear was really awesome and we shared contact info and such. Hopefully she'll be at Otakon for our Tales stuff.

After they left, I rejoined the rest of the gang who were still taking photos and stuff. Alyssa and Tina came over and we talked to them and I sat down next to Kevin and discovered he's a bit Kaori Yuki fan! o_o So that made me very happy! XP Haha. Man, I met a lot of really cool people at this con which makes me happy. We also saw Grace, Magenta's friend from when she worked at GameStop who I met back when I went to NYC in December. She was dressed as Tifa so she spazzed a little when she saw me wearing Cloud. It was cute. XP Eventually Ling and co. had to leave though since Jacquie still had to drive them elsewhere. Though it took forever for them to actually leave. lol We kept getting stopped by other people including Sarah (who I finally got to see again! Man Sarah, when you work at a con I like don't see you at all! Lame!). But when we were talking to some folks...enter creepy guy #4! All I saw was this lightsaber loaming over me and I slowly turn and I think I actually jumped and went "eeep!" because there was this REALLY bad and ugly Sephiroth looking at me being all "haha, I'm killing Cloud". x_x It creeped me out sooooo much. Ughugh. Though luckily he went away. I was afraid he was going to try to talk to me. And then soon after Carrie and Greg came by and I was like "! I finally find you guys!" So I finally got another Cloud "before and after" photo with Greg like we did back at Nekocon '04. Haha XP
I look so short next to him! XPXP And Carrie is so cute. Then while in the Holiday Inn saw Starwind but he was no longer in Zack. Oh well. lol
Went back to my room with Magenta, Anita, and Kevin. Changed into regular clothes while chatting with them, grabbed the dolls and headed over to their room for a while. We were going to do some doll photostories but like usual I couldn't come up with anything. lol So instead just took a few photos and chilled with Anita and Kevin. Anita did really accurate tarot card readings which impressed me greatly considering I had just met her. And we ordered Chinese food. I was going to go to sneak into the Masquerade to see Ginny and Monty's skit and Nami and Tara's half time show...but I looked at the clock and realized there was no way I would get over there in time. And I was really hungry so I voted on food instead. Sorry guys! ;_; Well as a result I wasn't there to hear the award announced. lol Neither were Stef and Ana. We fail. XP After food Magenta got into rave Youji and I went to my room and changed into rave Seimei.
Yes, that means I actually went to the rave. For the first time ever. Nekocon doesn't count because all I did was go in and stand to the side watching people for a little bit. Why did I go? 'Cause Nami, Tara, Magenta, etc. really wanted me to go with them and had that whole rave Loveless idea. Well when we got there they were already there so Magenta had to lead me in through the people and I...freaked out. lol I just am not a rave person and there were too many people. And while waiting outside, I encountered...creepy guy #5! A guy who was like "...kitty!" and had a "Catboys rule" shirt on. -_-; I knew where this was going. This is why I was so hesitant to do Loveless cosplay originally and why I only do it with others around me. And I couldn't just leave because I didn't want the others to miss me. Luckily eventually I was saved and I tried to go back into the rave but didn't work that time either but then they were all coming outside for fresh air anyways. And Alyssa was there and so I talked with her for a bit while Tina and Magenta got drinks in Tina's room. So finally got my time with Alyssa (when the con's almost over, I r lame x_x;;). Then finally actually successfully got into the rave now that I was in a bigger group. And I did stay...even if I felt lame. Also Angie was there so she joined us. She kept having creepy guys come up to her to ask to dance when she kept telling them no. XP
So yeah...Seimei can't rave and Soubi totally wins in that department. XP Though I did get my promised lapdance from Ritsuka at least. XP So I did have fun and well I think I would've been sad if I hadn't gone in just 'cause everyone was in there at the time and I had no idea where all the peeps in my room were since they weren't there when I was in there. But...I don't think I'll be doing anymore raves in the future. Just not for me. -_-;
Here's the only proof that I actually did go. I look so blah though. lol Probably because I was pretty "blah" at the time. lol
Eventually went back to the room and everyone else was already in bed so I had to work my way around to get into pjs and back on the air mattress with Mandi. Lately each con it seems I'm always the last one to get back to the room at Saturday which is so odd to me. XP
Sunday:
Woke up and we all lazed about for quite a while just chatting. Gradually started packing and Alyssa called and came up and hung with us for a while. Took out some of the dolls for a bit and talked about them. Eventually we all finished packing and Jes and I put our stuff in Dar's car for the time being. Then headed to the Dealer's Room with Magenta and Alyssa for a bit but there really wasn't anything I wanted and ended up losing Alyssa in there. Called Josh to figure out how to pick up the hall award and met up with both Ray and Tear from Sat. Got ice cream and we all just hung out on the really weird bleachers for a bit. Didn't cosplay at all since I figured it would be easier that way since I had to go back home with my parents and all.
Met up with Dar, Jes, and Laura (omg finally saw Laura! well actually saw her for a bit on Sat...but still). And then we found Ana, Stef, and Dani. And we all headed out for lunch. Well then Ray and Tear had to go so said goodbye to them. And Magenta got her luggage and went back to NYC with Anita and Kevin. Also said goodbye to Alyssa and Marissa. So this is why it took me so long to actually get to Uno's where we were going to eat. Since I kept having to say goodbye to people. XP By the time I got there, my parents had arrived and so they decided to eat there too separately while our big group got served. While we ate, Jezeroth came over which was the first time I saw him the whole con. XP And my camera got passed around so there were lots of silly photos taken.

Unfortunantly desert took a long time to come to us along with our check and so my parents had to wait around a bit. So Jes and I had to dash out, saying goodbye to everyone and then going to get our stuff out of Dar's car and into my parents'. Then took the 4 hours back to MD which I spent finishing the TB novel I was reading (just in time since the next one is out now, must get it!) and reading more Cantarella. Then it stormed like as soon as we got to the meeting spot with Jes' Mom so we had to run out in the ran and quickly get her stuff into her Mom's car. Her Mom was like "Hugs and kisses! Bye!" XP Since it was raining too hard to actually properly say goodbye. Oh well. I love Jes' Mom though. XP She amuses me greatly. We decided to eat at Bob Evan's since we were already wet from the rain and then we headed back home to find out my brother had not come to the house to check our mail and feed my cat...at all. All weekend. My poor kitty! ;_;

Her: "Ooooooh. Ahaha."
I think that I need to be at school by August 31st. I also read something about move-in dates that are a within the week right before that, but I'm not sure if that applies to me or not. But we should definitely try to figure something out if we can!
