12. Your cosplay idol.
These are the people I've looked up to since I started. Those that awed me and inspired me to continue with my trade in hopes of maybe some day being as cool as they are.
Rosiel - She's not really that active in the cosplay community that much these days but I was always a big fan of her. Especially when I got into Angel Sanctuary as she is still in my opinion the most perfect Rosiel cosplayer out there. Every costume she's ever made, I've truly admired. She has such amazing skills when it comes to craftsmanship and she just pulls everything she does off so incredibly well. I've always greatly admired her. That and she's always been so friendly when I've shyly spoken to her at cons.
Jezeroth - His cosplay.com hasn't been updated in quite some time so his most recent impressive costumes aren't on there but I think anyone who has met him in person knows how incredible his costumes are. I've known Jez a pretty long time and he just always manages to do something crazy and impressive. I also think he's one of the most successful costumers I know in terms of the fact that he's gone onto doing costume work in Las Vegas now and worked for Cirque du Soleil.
Nyanko-chan - I don't think she cosplays anymore as I haven't really seen anything new from her in years. But another gal who's always impressed me with her work and her ability to pull characters off incredibly well. She's another one of my early idols.
Grey Finch - Seriously why is everything she makes so incredibly good? I'm so jealous of her skills and always so amazed at everything she makes. Especially her Count costume. Will always be in love with that one!
God Save the Queen - I want to be her when I grow up. ...except that I think I'll never be that awesome. But seriously she's the best commissioner I've seen out there in the cosplay scene. Everything she makes is so incredibly impressive and I watch her on FB and I love how she shows all her progress photos. Her tutorials are also Heaven-sent. Seriously, how does one person manage to be so amazing? And I'm just so impressed that she's actually managed to make a living off of commissions. I want to be that good some day.
