Bleed in Blue

So I decided to start getting some work done on Shaka. Argh. Stupid gloves. Well, the finger joints look awesome and I'm proud of them and how I finally got the wonderflex texture smoothed out. The gloves themselves came out...alright. But hey, better than the last few times I made gloves at least. And the armor that goes on the gloves is coming out good so far. But like...I don't know, I'm just disapointed with how it looks altogether (I put the pieces on with scotch tape to get a rough test run on what it would look like). Bah.

And originally I was going to glue the finger joints to the gloves and all but I've now realized that if I do that, I might not be able to get the gloves off. x_x;; 'Cause I have to pull the gloves by the fingers to get them off. A bit hard with armor there. So most likely I'll just have to push the joints on after putting the gloves on and hope they don't fall off. x_x; Grah. Well, they probably won't fall off considering I almost couldn't get one off my hand earlier. o_o; Might need to re-make that one. >>;

But bah, I'm not even sure what to do with them. I guess I can just hope that once I get the detailing on the armor pieces, it will look better. Or add more pieces than what I've made already. Just right now it looks lame. >> I blame mostly the shape of the gloves though. Tempted to just buy a gold pair instead of using the ones I made. Le sigh.

At least the belt part will be fairly simple and so will the boots once I get around to ordering a pair of gold boots to destroy modify.

But I gave up on the gloves for a while and decided to make Dietrich the kimono I kept promising to make him. Very happy with that at least. ^^ Its pretty. Now I really should move on to finally making him the hoodie and RKO uniform and Cloud outfit and...>>;; Yeah, we'll stop there for now.

*stares at Saint Seiya images again* Man, I don't know, part of me is wondering if maybe I'm just a bit over my head with this project. But I keep seeing so many Japanese and Latino cosplayer pull Saint Seiya off so I'm determined that if they can do it, I can too. >>;; Just wish I knew their secrets. And well, I know I can make it...its just the quality of appearance that I'm questioning at the moment.
