Rosiel: 50%
Shaisuke: 45%

Its coming along. I think I can manage to get them done in time. *nod* I'm really worried about getting the wings done though. Thats like the other 50% of Rosiel right there. ^^;

Hopefully will be going to Mimi's on Tuesday with Ling and get more stuff done. And maybe take a few pictures of the stuff we have done so far.

But I have vinyl shorts now! Whee! First time working with vinyl and it went better than expected. Now onto the boot covers.

Nothing else going on with me really right now. The cosplay, as always around this time, has taken over. And I spend the rest of the time watching anime or reading manga. I finally got caught up with the Naruto manga (and the anime as well but that was several days ago) so now its kinda like "Hm...well...nothing left to download...I guess...I just wait like everyone else now. Wai! I want more now. ;_;" But the current Sasuke flashbacks make me happy. ^_^ Lovely Sasu-angst!

Oh, and I have a credit card now. Whee. And a bank account, of course. Certainly took me long enough to finally get one. (Didn't have any money to put in it before though.)

I was wondering... to sew with vinyl, do you need to have a special needle on your sewing machine and treat the material in a different way somehow? I'm just curious since I'm interesting in working on a cosplay that involves vinyl... XD

Eh, depends on what machine you use. The good old Singer (the one my Mom's giving me for college) hated it. ^^; But we took out the Husquana (I KNOW I had to have spelled that wrong but too lazy to look it up) and had no problems. Didn't even have to use a different needle.

But vinyl also varies. I've seen lots of different types around. The stuff I got was labeled as "faux leather" in the store. Which I found a bit odd, 'cause even though vinyl and leather are often put in the same category, I consider their textures to be way different. But anyways, the type you use might make a difference in that too.

I've been on threads on the cosplay.com boards where people gave lots of suggestions on how to work with it. I actually haven't had to use any of those methods yet. I'm just sewing slower and being more careful than usual and pinning it differently (so not as to put many holes in it). It slips around a lot though. ^^;

Er, correction on my earlier reply to this. I'm using a Bernina on the vinyl, not Husquana-whatever. ^^; Thats an embroidering machine. lol
