Good God the weather is horrible today. I had to go to class though so ended up completely soaking wet as a result. Blaaah. I don't want to do anything or go anywhere now. Though I had planned to start sewing today. >>; Maybe I'll get to it later.

Well, anyways, I talked to the new head of the costume shop for our theater department and so totally got a job working for him. Yay! I'm going to be working on wardrobe for the next two shows. The good thing is that I'll just be working October and December really. The bad thing is that it pretty much takes up my whole time those two months. Since the times are like 6pm-11pm just about every day. ^^; Though he said there's another person doing it too so the times will be split up between us when needed.

I don't know, I'm kinda worried I might be going in over my head. Really nervous about it. And really hope I'll still manage to get my school work done in this time too. Luckily it won't affect MangaNext and AnimeUSA will be fine, though I won't have that much time in Oct to work on Empire Abel like I had hoped. So it might not get done in time for AUSA. Ah well.

I needed the job though. But I am kinda wondering if I shouldn't have agreed to wadrobe so easily. ^^;; Maybe I should've just stuck with a few shop hours every so often. Meh. >>; Well, will talk to him more about it as I find out more about it.

See what you can do about what's best for you. Don't go in over your head and stress yourself out-- especially with a costume like Empire Abel to worry about. I'm sure he'd understand you're a busy college student, with a life and a horny twin brother. I'm sure it will work out.

Yeah, its definitly that storm. And apparantly we're going to get more from another one too. So it might get worse. x_x; Power already went out once for a few hours.

Working warddrobe isn't tough, you have nothing to stress about. Before the show goes up you have to run around a lot, and maybe every other day or every third day you will stay after the show for a bit to do laundry. But during the show you can usually do homework or study when you're not helping actors with quick changes. There will be some shows where you're eternally tied up but some where you can finish all your school work during the run of a show. Just make sure you stay on task and don't miss your cues. After they come to see you're reliable you might get to try for a spot working in costume construction (depending on how many jobs are available and when one opens up, or how much better you are then some of the people they already have) instead of just wardrobe, which is probably more of what you want to do. As long as you're responsible and polite and don't bring angst into it, it's really easy to get ahead in theatre. Good luck =D

Oh, that's not too bad. I figured it was something like that 'cause I remember Courtney talking about some of the stuff she did.

The guy is brand new too so he said after the first semester he'll probably see where people should be and move them around. He has a number wanting to do shop and since the only weekday I really have free is Friday ('cause of classes) he said I wouldn't be able to get much time in shop so this idea would be better. And I think he only has one other person doing it right now.

And its fine by me 'cause less stress is better. And I just really need some extra cash right now. I've also always wanted to get involve with the drama department somehow after I realized the acting bit wasn't for me.

Thanks for the info. ^^ I realized after I left that I probably should've asked him what exactly I would be doing. And none of it is set in stone either, next week he's going to have all the set shop people meet to figure out all the details and whatnot.

You'll be awesome at it! The first dress rehersal is usually chaos, depending on the show, but after opening night things always calmed down a lot.

Nothing well-known this year. First one is Haroun and...oh crap forgot the full title. lol But its by some writer that was in jail for a while and about japanese and stuff so our japanese theater professor who is insanely awesome is doing that one. And then the next one is...Wild Duck? O_o No idea what that is. lol

Yeah, hopefully it won't be too hard for me. I'll always remember your experience with dropping your glasses. ^^;; I'll think of you during this job.
