Tsubasa 166 ...wow

First off, if anyone else is up to date on Tsubasa, I would love if I could chat with you on it as its getting frustrating not being able to talk about this with anyone...especially this chapter.

Because Oh. My. God. O_O Perhaps one of the most emotional draining chapters so far. Well, at least for Fai fans and Kurogane fans. And of course KuroFai fans. (though their possibility as a pairing just went WAY up XP)

I'm also begining to suspect that Kaori Yuki is secretly working for CLAMP and giving them ideas. >>;; As they totally keep doing things she would do. XP

So I actually found out the spoiler for this chapter a few days ago...and I started crying just hearing about it, without even seeing the actual images.

So Fai's 2nd curse is finally activated. FWR had apparantly planned for two possible outcomes. 1) Fai kills Ashura and dies in the process, I'm guessing from using too much magic as it has become clear now that Fai gets weaker each time (thats why he's coughing up blood now) and thus the 2nd curse is stopped but Fai is dead. Or 2) Fai is unable to kill Ashura and thus his curse is activated, which is that Fai's magic will trap the whole world with our gang inside and kill them all in one hit.

So option 2 happens. And FWR also explains that there was a seal on Celes so that if anyone tried to use magic besides Ashura and Fai, they would be damaged. So THIS is why Syaoran has been really out of it. Because he used magic and he must've known Fai is basically killing himself the more he uses his magic so is why Syaoran used his instead.

Yuko had planned ahead for this and put that earring on Mokona that triggers a device so that the gang can get out and Fai uses the last bit of his magic to try to get everyone out but he doesn't have enough left due to CloneSyaoran having stolen his eye and all. So he's only able to transport Sakura, Syaoran, and Mokona out. And when Mokona does his little laser thingy, Kurogane is able to get out and is pulling Fai with him but its not enough and Fai knows it so he lets go of Kurogane and tells them to leave him...

Kurogane is like HELL NO.

Seems there's a weight issue here. There has to be a certain amount of weight still in the trap for them to get out. So what does Kurogane do?

HE CUTS HIS ARM OFF!!!!

Kurogane cuts his arm off and leaves it and his sword in the trap, along with Fai's coat as enough weight and pulls Fai out!!!! O_O

Oh my god! ;_; That was so amazing yet so depressing because now Kurogane only has one arm! That's not cool! But omg the expression on Fai's face was priceless!! Wai, Kurogane is just so awesome and he cares so much about his comrades. I really think THIS is what Tomoyo meant when she first sent Kurogane off and said he would find the "true meaning" of real strength.

Eeeee! So yeah, I'm torn between crying for Kurogane's arm lose and for Fai...being in a really bad state. Or cheering for the total wonderful gayness of that scene. ^^;;; Though I'm worried....as Fai may still be dying. ;_; Though I'm hoping if they get his eye back from CloneSyaoran...that could work. ^^;;

Though damn is Kurogane strong. He doesn't seem to even be phased by his arm. He doesn't scream or anything. Though I have a feeling he's going to pass out as soon as they arrive in the next world.

Though yay, finally going to the next world! I wonder where it will be! Everyone's making guesses on if it'll be Kurogane's world. I don't think it will be. Though it could be Clow. Though I guess they should go to Nihon first before Clow. Hmm. Either way, can't wait.

Though damnit, when is Seishiro coming back? XP He was on the illustration for the previous chapter which reminded me about him and how that part of the story hasn't been resolved yet...>>;;

Though argh! No chatper next week. ;_; Though at least this ended at a good spot and really, I think we may need a break.

I LOVE this manga so freaking much! It's like up there with Count Cain for me now, which says A LOT.

But at the same time I'm all ;~~~; because Kurogane would sacrifice himself like that for Fay's sake and without a second thought. *wibble*

Every chapter has me on edge, holy cow. @_@

Although if it was an issue of weight, I say that all should've just thrown off their clothes to spare Kurogane his arm. XD SURELY that would've made it close enough??

And apparantly Fai does not weigh much if its equivalent weight needed....XPXP Unless Kuro's sword is really heavy.

Ahh, I'm sure Kurogane's sword was really heavy. It was huge. o_O

I could see Fay's weight not being very much, though that might be because CLAMP decided to associate him with Windom from Rayearth, with the wind/air element (which of course relates to things being light). Dunno if you read any of Rayearth or not though. xD

LOL That would be so funny if they were all wandering around nekkid. XDD Though CLAMP couldn't do that because it would break the mood. Whatever, I'd do it if I was a mangaka. XDDD Then I'd write one of those side comments and say to the fans, "THEY HAVE TO DO WHAT THEY HAVE TO DO TO SURVIVE! IF YOU WERE IN THE SHOWER AND YOUR HOUSE CAUGHT ON FIRE, WOULD YOU GO AND GET CHANGED IN YOUR ROOM BEFORE LEAVING THE HOUSE? NO! SO QUIT YOUR GIGGLING!" Yeah right xD

XP Don't worry, I'm sure they'll get back to Syaoran stuff soon. Like, hopefully the clone will show up again as I do kinda want to know where he went off to since didn't Sakura say that she went to the dreamworld to meet up with C!Syaoran?

Oh yeah, forgot about the dreamworld. ^^;; Though I really think if anyone goes to that, it should just be Syaoran. I was kinda hoping he was going into it during that one xxxHolic chapter so was disapointed that he didn't as it looked like he was...

And pleeeeeasse let them have Seishiro show up again! I need conclusion with that! I want the twins to meet up with him. x_x

i honestly don't think sakura would be back to normal even at the end

beginning of the story, sakura's wearing the outfit from the dream world.

which makes me think that that's the end of the story, so everything MUST be resolved, including R!syao n C!Syao (in which we don't see R!syao there) so.... yeah................ dreamworld might be the last last place who knows....

Yeah, most likely. I was thinking that that scene would probably be the end. Though it does seem like the manga is getting closer to it lately.

And hm, I've always wondered if its R!Syao or C!Syao in that scene since in the manga you can only see the side in the color image so can't really tell what color his eyes are. Though I think I'm kinda hoping for like the two to combine into one or something. Since technically they are the same person now that R!Syao has all of C!Syao's memories and such.

I just really miss Sakura though. ;_;

i thought the fitting scene is that R!Syao would give up his body and soul to C!Syao to bring his sanity back. -.-;;; it'd suck but it'll work?

i never that that'd be R!Syao with sakura only coz the outfit isn't what he normally wears.

Whenever Clamp finishes the Manga, then I will pick it up. I stopped on book five and finished out the first anime season that I'm like WHA? ... Goddammit -_-

Well the anime didn't even stick to the manga that much as it was. The 2nd season apparantly ended with a really strange filler. And yeah, the manga is going to be starting volume 22 soon so quite a lot to catch up on there. XP Though there will also be an OAV for the part in the manga the anime never got to.

And the manga probably won't be too much longer. Its getting closer to an ending.
