I tried to fix something. Thought it'd be easy. Thought I knew what the problem was for sure.

Well, it didn't work. Tried several other things. They didn't work either.

End result. It now looks worse than when I started.

And this isn't even one of the new costumes! God Ciel why...

I am rethinking my desire to enter this costume anymore as I'm not feeling so great about it lately after seeing several other cosplayers do it at AX and do it...a lot better...and I look at mine and realize everything I did wrong and just feel like throwing it out the window. (I already did throw it down the stairs when I was first working on it in frustration at one point.)

ahphpghiphpih This is supposed to be a fun hobby, not one that makes me want to curl in a ball and die. lol

That and now because of this I am waaaaay further behind than I was before. As in, I might actually not finish one of my costumes for the first time ever. I know, that's not really a biggie but still, I kinda took pride in the fact I've always got everything done I planned to do.

*cries a river* Stupid freaking shorts waaaaaaiiii -_-

The worst part of this was I decided to do this bit as a break from the other costume that was driving me crazy. lol Well at least with that one I know what to do, I'm just debating if I have the time to do it to make it look nicer or if I should just finish it as is.

But this...this...nothing I do makes it look better! Gah!

Ngggh. Something that really should not be this problematic. I was just trying to fix up the cuffs on these shorts as they bunched up a bit on the sides and I thought it was because when I first made the cuffs, I totally forgot to make the top wider than the bottom, only made them to the width of the bottom. So then when I realized that I did that...after they were already button-holed and sewn on, I then just tried to make it up by taking in a bit more on the shorts' seams and just tacked the cuffs in place. And it worked but I really didn't like how it was bunching up and I figured it was 'cause it still didn't align up right.

So I had this plan to take them off and make new ones that actually were made to line up right. Except...it didn't fix the problem at all. The same bunching happened. Granted at least I was able to make the shorts' seams a bit straighter and more even but then the original cuffs were now too big and I didn't want to go through the effort of finishing the new ones if the same problem was just going to exist. So decided to just adjust the old ones, make them smaller and a bit more to the right angle since I could. But...ugh there still is that wonky bunching at the sides. Granted I think it went away from the outside seam but its still there on the inner seam. But that's less noticeable at least. I'm just annoyed 'cause the cuffs themselves are not quite as nice due to having to change their length.

Really I think its just the fabric that's the issue. 'Cause usually cuffs don't give me a problem. I just make them to the size of the sleeves/shorts/boots/whatever and line up nice and fine. Grrr.
