bye bye icons T_T

Ugh, so I totally forgot that my extra icons were on a different date than my paid account so they expired today even though the paid account lasts a few more weeks.

Bah, I really wish there was a way to buy those icons without having to have a paid account. But then again, do I really need them? Its just so hard deciding which ones to keep though. :<

Ironically, my default icon was one of the ones chosen to be "inactive" XD Which I thought they had to make the default active. I can still use it, it seems. lolwhut?

And should I bother making a Dreamwidth? Like I do like the fact I can transfer stuff over pretty easily but I just don't know if enough people I know use it to make it worth it? So, is it worth getting one? Or should I just stick to FB and Tumblr?

I crosspost from DW these days, and if they ever get a decent photo-hosting service, I'll pretty much completely move. They seem a lot more stable and willing to listen to their userbase than LJ, if nothing else.

Yeah, they do seem pretty nice. I just don't want to bother using one if none of my friends are going to be active on it though. I have a hard time keeping up with multiple social platforms.

Hmmm... I'm quite used to having just 6 icons and I more or less manage. I had once a paid account for a year (it was a gift) and the extra icons were very welcome, but it's not absolutely necessary for me.

About DW... are you intending on leaving LJ? Because not that we interact that often, but I only use FB for real life (and I always write in Spanish, plus we're not acquaintances there), so if it's not through LJ and or DW, I'd probably lose contact with you. I'm in DW, too, and from some point onwards, I always crosspost, but I don't always check the f-list there because most people I know crosspost too, and it's easier to check only LJ. Crossposting is incredibly easy, the only effort would be setting up your account. Once said that, I don't know if it would be worth for you or not.

I've gotten addicted to the icons over the years. XD I like too many things and find myself adding icons for everything I like. And from all the time I've gotten on LJ, I've gotten a pretty large amount of icons from add-ons and loyalty time, etc. So not sure how many they will leave me with after this. I've managed to widdle some of them down but its still hard choosing. XD

And no, I'm not going to completely leave. Unless it comes to a point where absolutely no one I care about is using it anymore. But as long as they are, I will at least check it. That and I use LJ for my doll photostories, which is on a different LJ account. And I still like to use this for writing up my con reports and such. So no, I just might check it less and not post much anymore. So I'm just wondering if I should switch over to DW or not. The only thing I'm worried about with the crossposting feature, is that I know I've tried to use some of the DW/LJ intertwined features and it wouldn't let me. I think it had to do with my layout though. And well I guess if I no longer have a paid account, it won't matter so I should just switch layouts and see if it'll work then.
